Any cyclist out there? I need to lose a bit of weight and increase my fitness as l'm cycling from London to Paris in September eek! I'm 59 years old so it's now or never!
Any tips on nutrition or training will be great!

If you're analytical, read Fitzgerald's book, "Racing Weight." Otherwise, start SLOW and increase time/week no more than 10% with lots of easy, CONSISTENT (i.e. don't miss blocks of days!), steady riding. On the diet side, eat balanced meals (protein, fat and carbs) but just cut 300-500 calories per day off your total (BMR+riding calories). Warning: do NOT trust MFP's cycling calories - they are WAY HIGH! You won't lose using them. Find a better way (expensive solution is a power meter/computer on your bike). I can't imagine you'll be burning more than 300-400 calories per hour for a while. Good luck! I lost 70lbs cycling/dieting but am here because I put a few back. I race now and weight is everything on the hills!

Cycling is my therapy as well as my cardio and a huge reason for my weight loss so far.

You CAN. My dad did his first 100 mile ride at age 60. <3

Amazing all the best of luck.

During your training mix it up with some interval training, hill train and Long steady state sessions as well.

Pacing is crucial so take a look at that as well! Find a pace that you can sustain without bonking or hitting the wall.
