    Heading off to the keys tomorrow, so got in a final ride today to the bike shop to snag some extra tubes. Fast group ride planned in the morning followed by a ride to the ballpark for the Jays vs. Red Sox game, then my buddy is picking me up there so we can drive down to Miami in the evening. Looking forward to the trip!

    It's going to be a short month for me as I'm off to the uk on the 14th of this month. First trip back since I left in November 2009. I'll try for 300 km before I go.

    Made it from Key Largo to marathon key on a nice leisurely ride today. Better scenery once we made it out of Key Largo and about 90% of the route was alongside wider paved roadside trails. Lots of iguana dodging as they played chicken on the trail. Onto key west tomorrow.

    ohhim How's the wind down there in the keys? Is it slowing you down any? I have been riding it in for days and it is really making me work twice as hard. Will report my rides and distance on Tuesday as usual for me.

    Made it to the end of the trail. Hanging out in Key West until Tuesday then biking back to Key Largo.

    Wind was from the side (and slightly at our back) for most of the ride, so no trouble. Likely going to have a bit more of a head wind en route back.

    I do mostly bike @ gym, it's one of the highest calorie burn excessive you can do. I used to go for an hour but now I do 30min vigorous ride and will typically burn 540 calories(manual setting and level I will range from level 8 to level 12 keeping rpm @110 or higher for the entire 30 min)
    If anyone is willing to try this let me know how you like it and how many calories you can burn in a hard 30 min) if you have any tricks on the stationary bike to burn a lot of calories in 30 min or a short period I am very curious to hear and learn a new method. Thanks!!

    So, just about 3 years ago, weight hovering around 200 lbs, I pulled my old high school bike out (old, but still in near mint condition, having not seen the road since the late 90s), dusted it off and pedaled out. I made it 3 miles, turned around and pedaled home, and I haven't stopped since. Thousands of miles later, this weekend I finally clipped in. Holy cow, it's amazing. I picked up a pair of giro mtb shoes clearance at REI last year but couldn't quite convince myself to try it out for fear of falling. Well, after tipping over several times this winter, I figured why not fall over some more? Took a spin around the neighborhood yesterday, didn't tip over. Took a spin around the south part of the city today, didn't tip over. Here's hoping I keep that upright streak alive!

    3/3 - 7.14 miles, 38.55 min. 32*F, snowing like crazy, got 2 to 3 inches had to go to the old mountain bike.

    Buddy ended up wanting to explore key west by bike today, so meandered around, and up/down the island. Ended up getting a slice of key lime pie from the key lime pie factory as well in honor of pi day.

    Amanda My middle name is Amanda. I am over 280+ pounds having all ready lost 210 pounds, so if I can do it you can do it. I got a trike about 2 years ago and would go off and on maybe 3 or 4 times a week maybe 2 or 3 miles. However this February I decided I wanted to do a bike challenge in 2017 so I started training. My training is getting better each day but I am no where near anyone else on the board. If you do a little each day and increase it each time you will get better and better.
    Here are my few miles for this past 15 days but you know what they added up to past the goal I had set earlier in the month.
    3/2 - 2.93
