Just barely exceeded my goal. But if I can keep up the pace I had this week, it should be easy to hit the 135 goal for May.
Had to walk more of the long run this morning than I wanted, but I put in the time/steps, so I'm satisfied. Now for laundry and bill-paying and symphony this evening!

Went down to the expo this morning, but pre-expo my teammates and another running buddy and I ran 3 miles on the boardwalk out and back from the FINISH LINE!!! Good little shakeout run, and two of the five people assembled hadn't ran it before so this gave them a clear picture for tomorrow about where the finish is. Because the finish is always farther than you think it'll be!
The expo was fairly small, but I got so many free food samples, and the title sponsor was doing this thing that if you took a picture at their photo booth/station, then tagged it on Instagram, they would print a copy of the photo for you to keep. All for free! So I did that and snagged as much free swag as I could get.
I was really nervous last night when I went to bed, but felt ok this morning, at the run, at the expo, etc. Spending the afternoon eating and working on an Arabic presentation that I have to give on Monday, and then at 7 my running buddy (first timer for 26.2!) is coming down to paint nails and make throw-away arm warmers from socks and double-check our gear check bags. IT'S REALLY REAL! In 24 hours, I'll be a 4x marathon finisher! EEEK!

4 miles - middle 2 miles rolling hills - 9:44 average pace - 64 degrees 85% humidity - the misting rain and light breeze helped but things got pretty rough around mile 3 when they stopped temporarily and I was just left with the humidity. I've been waking up with super sore hips ever since I started doing the pilates so I did a 15 min warmup inside trying to loosen up before I ran. My hips started to burn the last mile.2

4/29 2.25 miles
4/30 5.22 miles
Finally reached my goal of 50 miles!! I've had the same goal for months but would have an awful flare or something and couldn't make it. Yay! I went out for a short run yesterday to find out how my calf was feeling even though my schedule has me resting on Fridays. It was a little achy but not exactly painful. I figured I was good for my 70 minute run today and I was. I had a really pleasant run although a bit cold. It was day number 3 of running through some snow. Thankfully it isn't sticking or anything. See you all in May!

Great job @dennie24 !0

I went for a test run today. Knee still hurts not much progress but I went for it to see if it agravates.
Did 3.2 km until I started to feel uncomfortable in the knee and stopped. Upside is there was no aftermath and it didn't get worse.
Here's something I found

@kristinegift- oh, I thought your M was today! OKay cool! Good luck tomorrow then!
Now I'm going to look for a place to donate all these old shoes! Thanks!
Programming competition was great - team came in first place. While sitting around talking to other teachers bumped my foot and toenail fell off. I knew it was going to happen (had the pain weeks ago) but didn't really plan on frightening everyone with that look. Would have worn one of my retired running shoes, and not cute little sandals. Although I doubt anyone actually would have noticed if I hadn't blurted out something. Don't even know what I said but I fear it wasn't appropriate4 -

Argh, had a nightmare of a week I teach pupils with special needs and when one lost his temper during the week he stamped on my foot and bruised it. I couldn't have run with decent form because I was hobbling around even when walking. So I'm going to hope that the rest will have done me good, only a week out from my next half. It does mean I didn't get my 10miler in though, so I'm not feeling as prepared for this half marathon as I would like too. Grr, I'm really annoyed : and I missed my monthly target, which should have been easy. This week has been a stinker in every sense of the word, it's messed up my whole month.
Oh well, on to a bigger and better month in May...
Well done to everyone who met their goals this month! And good luck to all racing tomorrow

10 km run through the East Riverbank Hill Trails. The East side is a lot steeper than the West so we do most of our running on the west. Bottom of the valley is about 330m and top is roughly 570m ( depending on where you call top of valley ) Went up Kaufman Hill which is one of the steepest in the area; 240m Gain over 2 km-a real leg buster. Then 4km along the Top of the valley and 4km downhill on a real rabbits warren of crossing trails, some turn and take you back up, some track parallel across the slope, some go straight down and some zigzag. So a nice run once you finish the battle to the top of the hill.
We lost one member of our group during the run. He turned onto a wide well used crossing trail when we kept going straight across into the bush on the single track that we were on. Once you get 20-30 meters apart you can't see the people around you due to the Thick Forest cover so its easy to get separated. He followed our club guidelines in that if you get separated and lose touch to just head down to a pinch point or back to the starting point. No cellphone coverage in quite a few of these places due to all the little hills and ridges which create Cell Phone Black Holes.

16 km short of goal. Lost a week in the middle of the month due to the HM and Ski Trip, plus I had to many days in the swimming pool which cut back on my available Running time.

late reply @shanaber : no, first time parasailing, and yes, I messed up the camera, thinking I was "record"ing when instead I was "stop"ping so that photo is about the only decent shot of the trip Son is upbeat and tolerating chemo well...thanks!
Re: shoes: currently rotate 4 pair of asics, 1 mizuno, 1 new balance. Have some pumas and sauconys from early in my running "career" which just never worked right (before I knew that good stores did fitting/running tests), but are too good to toss. Like the idea of donating!
Ticker is my goal for 2016 and accumulation to date:

Got in my final 3 mile tuneup run today after my pre race 2 day rest, and despite the rest, perfect weather and a relatively level surface, my heart rate at a 3:10 Pace was about 4bpm higher than my first few miles of last year's pittsburgh marathon (which I ran eyeball bleedingly tough even splits at). Given that result, and tomorrow's ugly weather, I think I'm going to just set aside a BQ attempt and join the 3:15 pace group tomorrow as it should be more manageable - especially in my race costume.
