You just remember why you started in the first place.4

I have lots of goals, in addition to the scales, so there is always something positive to focus on. My fitness progress keeps me motivated in the kitchen, even when the scales slow down.2

Look at old photographs of yourself, and see the progress you have made. Buy a new outfit, get some new music to workout to, try a new workout, get a workout buddy, sign up for a 5K or 10K.....1

I decided that looking at the WHOLE number for weight loss was to overwhelming. I decided to break it into 5 x 10lb mini goals. As of last week I lost 13lbs, so i crossed it off my list and said to myself " i think i need to loose 10lbs" its like a mental reset1

Having a solid WHY is so important. Why do you want to lose those 50 lbs? How will you feel when you reach your goal? What will that let you do that you cannot do now? How will that effect how you view yourself and interact with others? These are all great questions to think about.
I stay motivated because my why is to teach my son how to be healthy and fit. It's a why bigger than me, so I never quit.1
