    The foam roller just makes everything feel better but for the hips and upper back, it's magical! Its like treating myself to my own little spa treatment before I head home from the gym.

    Mobility is critical. Saw some nice suggestions from Dan John

    Lay on back, get up
    lay on stomach, get up
    lay on right side, get up
    lay on left side, get up

    Same as above except:
    Keep right hand on left knee
    Keep left hand on left knee
    Keep right hand on left knee
    Keep left hand on right knee

    Real nice general warm up.

    Trust me I am finding this out, my lower back was killing me for the last couple of weeks.

    Now I make sure to stretch in the morning and in the evening - the difference is amazing, pain free and plan to continue every day.

    that's great! It's such a huge, important part of fitness and health but nobody ever talks about it. They all just worry ONLY about lifting heavy etc.
