350 lbs to finishing a Ironman pics

Options

What a journey. I started on MFP 3 years ago weighing in at 350. Over the course of the first year I used 2 apps MFP and C25k and lost the weight. C25k lead me to 5ks then a half marathon then a full. The 2nd year I learned to swim and that what got me into Tri's. Well after a handle full of short distance Tri's I went all out for a full Ironman last weekend in Wisconsin. 2.4 mile swim 112mile bike followed by 26.2 run. Well I finished before the cutoff.
My advice stick to your plan and just keep moving followed. If I did this you a capable. If you need help or motivation, send me a friend request.

Congratulations. What a fantastic transformation. Your post inspires me considerably. I have been doing sprint triathlons sporadically over the past 2 years. Still about 70 #s overweight. Had goal to move up to International distance triathlons this summer. Honestly, I bailed because I could not make enough progress with the run, which is likely related to the excess weight I am carrying. Every time I get up to 4 miles, a lingering calf injury would reappear. Up to 3 miles, I am fine. I would really appreciate hearing from you how you were able to continue progressing with your runs while still on your weight loss journey. Great job. Thanks for sharing. Very inspirational.

Nike should sponsor you. Fantastic change!

This site is generally filled with excuses posts, and the excuse i see the most is "well life happened so ..." Well life happened to you too, and look how you turned out!
