I've searched and searched, but I seem to be the only one which Saxenda did not work. No side effects, no loss of hunger, no weight loss. I'm very frustrated.

Did you start on the lowest dose and work your way up to the highest dose over the course of five to six weeks?
Did you contact Saxenda to find out why you are an anomaly? What did your prescribing doctor say / suggest?
How much weight do you have to lose?0 -
Hi, I'm contacting them tomorrow. I've read over 400 posts, and they all have had side affects, hunger reduction, and weight loss. It may as well be saline to my body. Yes I started at the lowest dose. It's so frustrating.1

How long have you been taking it?1
-
Have you been in a caloric deficit? That's the only real way to lose weight.20
-
It's the calorie deficit that works, it's you who does the work. The drug could reduce your hunger, but I personally believe hunger while dieting is hyped up - healthy weight loss is only a slight deficit, and your body takes the rest of the energy that it doesn't get from food, from your fat stores. Just make sure you eat a balanced diet.
If you don't know what these terms mean - ask!17 -
The good thing is you lose the same way with or without it. You just have to find your happy medium between calorie deficit and satisfaction.9
-
The companies own literature states...Saxenda ® (liraglutide [rDNA origin] injection) is an injectable prescription treatment that may help you.
....may help you.16 -
Ditch the drugs, start counting calories.23
-
There is not a single drug that works for everyone.4
-
And there is not a single drug that works without also being in a caloric deficit29

You know how someone asks you something very elementary, and you have been doing your job for 20 years so it's kind of insulting? I count calories, protein, sugars, carbs and fiber and sodium. Drink my water. I'm not looking for an easy fix. I'm looking for a medical fix at this point because my body fat level just reached obesity and I've always been in shape. Not a thyroid issue. Not a hormonal issue. Blood work is fine. I mix up my cardio. I do strength training. I'm never on my couch. Am I supposed to live off 1200 cals a day and stay active? No. I go between 1500-1800 and no sugar ever. I'm not looking for nutrition advice. I'm looking to see if anyone had taken this particular drug and experienced no hunger reduction, no side effects at all.

But what you are doing, is it working?11
-
What do you think the drug is going to do exactly that supposedly accurately calorie counting hasn't? Because it's basically just an appetite suppressant.
If you're not losing weight and have been tested for everything that may affect the CO aspect of CICO and nothing has been found then you're eating too much. That's usually down to inaccurate logging. I know this is n't what you want to hear but it's just science.

The only thing I haven't tried yet is a 1200 cal a day diet, heavy HIIT cardio six times a week, heavy weight training six hours a week. So training like a competitive fitness and figure athlete, no I've not tried that but I shouldn't have to. Those people train like that for 9 percent fat body levels and professional competitions.

Have you ever thought to ask those who've actually been successful at this whole thing for their input? Seems like that would be a good place to start. But sounds like you're not interested in advice or help so yeah, good luck16 -

I'm not sure I understand then. If you are doing everything correctly, and eating in a deficit why would you want an appetite suppressant if you didn't think you needed to get in control of your hunger? What's the point of getting control of something you already have control of? Maybe that's why it didn't work.
Also I know plenty of people who have been doing their job for a long time, and I have to ask them simple questions that they get upset about, but I still have to asking them because they are not smart (nothing to do with you, just what happens).

I would love to hear what you are doing that is different from calorie deficit, no sugar, no processed carbs, portion control, no alcohol, high fiber, lots of water, 5 workouts per week including cardio and strength training, plus walking my dogs 30 mins a day every week. Plus weekend hikes. Please tell me.

I'm eating at the correct calorie amount for my weight goals. Which is something you're not doing, if you're not seeing the results you're aiming for.23 -

Hunger and nausea are side effects, as to which I've experienced none, making me think my batch or rx is even valid. The reason I'm taking it is that it allows your body to process sugars and fats more efficiently, clearly what my body is not doing now. I was given a sample kit from my doctor and I'm thinking since I'm the only one out there with apparent metabolic efficiency issues that hasn't had any side effects, I may have been given a bad dose. I'm really only interested in the comments re-Saxenda. Thank you.8
