36 and looking to restart my fitness journey after derailing. I've never had a problem with staying active and in shape but the last 9 years I've struggled which lead to a lot of weight gain. I've always been athletic my entire life and loved running and ran 5k races regularly in my 20's. Ready to get back to it! Feel free to add me!5

My tri coach has been following a ketogenic diet for about 8 weeks and is having some issues with blood pressure, etc. She has not found any other women who have had success becoming fat adapted endurance athletes. Are you having success with a Ketogenic diet?

-had surgery in May
-have arthritis (ack that sounds old)
-use knee sleeve/supports daily at Crossfit
-use Salanpos (I smell like a locker room)
-don't squat below 90 any longer...yet
-take glucosamine RSP supplement
-wear awesome running shoes
Anything I'm missing here that could help with knee pain???
Hey
I know a lady who was diagnosed with arthritis in her early thirties. She could not face taking medication (she was worried about the affects this would have on her liver) so she started looking into nutrition. It took her a couple of years to find what it was that affected her but she has been managing a lot of her pain by changing her nutrition around. may be worth looking into? Might be worth checking out?
Also, is it worth trying to get on a bike? Very low impact on your knees and great calorie burn. :-)
Good luck

Definitely worth a try. I have a friend that's a nutritionist and will reach out to her to see how I can manipulate my diet plan. Thanks! And yes, I do like to ride when the weather is good.1 -
