Hi all, I need a little help from the community!

I use a Garmin HR monitor to track all my steps and exercise as I try to lose weight. I'm not sure if I should set my nutrition to make automatic adjustments to my calorie intake for my exercise or not!

Please help!

Thanks so much

Steve

I've been using a Garmin Vivoactive HR for better than a month. I love it for tracking speed, time, distance and heart rate for my daily bike rides. It is interesting to look at sleep patterns. For tracking calories burned during exercise and during daily activities, it is totally WORTHLESS. It grossly overestimates calories burned. For a typical example, yesterday, with the Garmin adjustments, MFP had my goal at over 6,000 calories. I rode my bike for 15 miles. The watch said I burned 2,600 calories, when in reality I'm sure it was closer to 1,100. For sitting on my gluteus maximus most of the rest of the day it adjusted my calories up another 3,000.
