    1 Jan: 137.6lbs
    Today: 133.6lbs

Lots of Christmas bloat (plus some fat gain) is gone. Goal is to get back down to my 128-132lb maintenance range. I got to 132lb in mid Dec, but you know, all the things happened at Christmas.

Keto start weight: 177 (Oct. 2016)

GW: not sure, but 150 sounds about right

I had my Dr. appointment on Monday, but my monthly water gain was still trending down. I'm down 2lbs in 2 days. Oh well. I'm anxious to see what my A1c is after 3 months on keto.

Today is one month in! Started December 11, 2016

    SW: 168
    CW: 156 (12 lbs!)
GW: Keeping this loose.....Want to get to my healthiest me....Started keto as an adjunct therapy for my epilepsy. Weight loss is just the added bonus!

Have you noted a decrease in seizures? Care to share or too soon to tell? Congrats on the weight loss!

Thanks @kpk54. It's very hard to say with me and my particular brand of seizures (partial seizures) because they are very random.....I'm still on medication...My initial hope is to be able to at least reduce the medication I am currently taking and possibly even get off of it all together.

I decided to start keto about the same time they put me on a new medicine because the medicine I took just before that was horrific. This new medicine was also giving me stomach problems so they backed it down....I was just getting tired of all the medicines at that point.

Now I will say that because this medicine bothers my stomach I have been taking it with my first meal of the day and since I sometimes don't eat that until after I'm at work I have forgotten to take my morning dose of meds a few times...Whoops....And no seizures.

I'm currently 49 days seizure free and 122 days with only 1 seizure (which was during my medicine transition time so technically can be expected), so I am very hopeful.

Had a nasty car accident in 2010 due to onset of seizures and haven't been able to drive since. Ultimate goal would be to get rid of these seizures and get my independence back!

@swezeytba, thank you for sharing. I have hope for you and I wish you the best. :) I don't have Epilepsy but am trialing keto (9 months) for my neurological movement disorder (Cervical Dystonia aka Spasmodic Torticollis). I noted considerable improvement initially but nothing further in the last few months. Definitely not cured but better.

I like to bring forth these types of discussions. One never knows who might be reading and might be helped or given hope. There is a new person who recently mentioned seizures so is hopefully reading. Thank you again for sharing.

@kpk54 ...I agree....It's so nice just to stumble across someone going through something similar to you. I was actually recommended this diet by a virtual stranger whose wife was following the diet for an autoimmune disease and she has been greatly improved in her physical health by the ketogenic way of eating. I wouldn't say she is cured either, but when you are suffering any amount of improvement can be a tremendous lift.

@Cyndi146 you may be ahead longer term to just maintain for a while. You are doing a lot correctly and it is becoming a lifestyle vs. shear Will Power I expect. Great job.

I'm not too worried about this weeks gain. I know I went a little over my calories/carbs on a couple of days (not 2lbs worth though), I have also not drunk anything like enough water and my cycle is messing with the figures.
    Here's to next Wednesday!

Every time I go on vacation and take a break from LCHF I set a new starting date and starting weight. I'm also going to set goal dates/weights every 2-3 months out. So going forward...

    SD: 1/01/17
SW: 144 - this is fat and water gain from my 3 week gallivanting in central america

    CD: 1/18/17
CW: 138.6 - this is just about where I was before my vacation (maybe one lb more)

    GD: 3/26/17
GW: 132 (range 129.6-134.1) - I would love to lose 1 lb per week but I am fine with .5 lb so I average it out and take the weight that I would be at .75 lb per week and give myself a range to fall within.

I need to start adding in exercise  I'm actually having a really hard time setting a goal weight. I don't have a lot of weight to lose but I have a lot of body fat to lose. I need to start strength training to build my LBM. I'd actually be ok with my weight if my body composition was more lean. So in reality I don't know what weight to strive for. My range listed above is purely for reduce my body fat and weight but does not consider building muscle. My current BF is around 26%. I would like to get down to 22-24%.
