    Good morning, this is my first visit to the group. I am a restart MFP member and I have about 85lbs to lose, so I am at the beginning of my journey. I hope to find encouragement here, pick up MFP friends along the way and get healthy! My weight finally caught up to me and I have one knee surgery behind me and facing others, as well as the fact I am on BP medicine. So, I am hoping I can get back to a healthier me.

    My weekly goal is to walk 30 minutes each day, and then reassess and reset a new goal the following Sunday. Eventually, I would like to do it in steps or miles but since I am a newbie to all of it, I will start with reasonable expectations.

    Welcome FourLynne! The part I put in bold is the most important part of your plan. Always try for what you THINK you can do and then reassess all the time. Sometimes, we can do more than we think and sometimes less, but as you will see on this board, we are always reassessing for one reason or another. Those 85 pounds do not stand a chance-they will be gone in no time!! :+1:

    2 miles of the 5 Day Slim Down workout.

    I think I have racked up a "whopping" 24 miles so far. I think I will go back to mileage next month instead of just noting my workouts.

    Mar 21 - 3.8 miles ...... the temp is not bad but that wind is brutal.

    Sorry everyone I have been missing - way to busy trying to get my income tax papers in order and doing taxes and year end reports for my various volunteer jobs. I also file taxes for seniors.... the only thing that is saving my butt is the World women's curling on TV... I walk on the spot with my hand weights.

    That is a very good way to start. We have to constantly reassess to weed out what doesn't really work for us.
