Fourth Fast Day 5

So, today is my fifth day and it is the day I will end my fast. I truly feel like I could go another couple days and get an amazing 7 days under my belt but there is a family celebration tonight at Olive Garden. So today will end my 5 day fast. Next time I may try for 7 days. Always it just depends on how I feel.
So here's my stats for the week.
I started my fast on Sunday.

I measure my ketones and glucose in the evenings so I don't have those numbers yet. I have no idea how I gained .2 but thinking it was the chicken broth. Sodium maybe. I only allow myself coffee, water, tea, and broth which has sodium, etc for electrolytes which is important while you fast. I only had broth one day and it was the next day I had the .2 gain.
So from Sunday to this morning I am down a total of 5 lbs. I'll likely see a pound of that back in the morning since I'm eating tonight (but already have my meal planned so I just order and not get tempted). Still, I'm quite happy. I have not been this weight in several years. I still have a long way to go but I'm actually seeing progress which is keeping me motivated. Along with the weight loss, there are so many advantages to keto and fasting. Autophagy is one strong one. If you haven't heard about it, google it. Dr Yoshinori Ohsumi won a nobel prize for his research on autophagy. Amazing. Other good folks I follow as I learn: Dr. Josh Axe, Dr. Jason Fung, Dominic D'Agostino, Valter Longo, Jimmy Moore, and Thomas Seyfried.

Yes, you have!! I'm on a fast now. lol I ate Wednesday and am hoping to fast until Sat or Sun. If it gets tough, I may do a FMD meal...Fasting Mimicking Diet....meal...0
