Well, 111 lbs in 31 weeks is still commendable  way to go!

    WK.......... Weight.........Week Chg......Total.....To Reach Goal
    28.............250.................-3...........-102..............70
    29.............248.................-2...........-104..............68
    30.............243.................-5...........-109..............63
    31.............241.................-2...........-111..............61
    32.............240.5...........-0.5...........-111.5...........60.5
    33.............236..............-4.5...........-116..............56

I started to really see a slowdown in April. Before yesterday I had only lost 3 lbs in 3 weeks.
That wouldn't be so bad if I was closer to my goal, but at this point I'm not ready to see it.
During the same period in March I had dropped 10 pounds.
I decided that I was in a rut and needed to shake things up, so yesterday I began a water fast.
I have no plan as to how long I will do it, I'm just going to listen to the signals from my body and go from there.

So tracking the fast now, here are day 1's result.

    My plateau-busting fast
    Day.........WT.......Change.......Total
    ..1..........236.........-3...............-3

Feel good this morning, not hungry. Got that empty feeling.
Slept so well, the night was full of detailed vivid dreams

Congratulations on all of your hard work and dedication and losses so far! I know you're a bit bummed over your slow April, but to many of us, myself included, we would love that kind of steady progress! Best to you on your fast. Please keep us posted on how you're feeling from time to time :-)

Off course you're right, we all are at different stages, have different goals, bodies, ages, etc. I wouldn't say I was bummed, I just didn't like going from a consistent trend of 11-12 lbs per month directly to 4. It was not a gradual taper. If I was within 20 pounds of goal it might have been a different matter.

Don't get bummed. You are still losing. And don't water-fast too long since your goal is still primarily weight loss. You need normalcy for the times ahead when you won't be fasting. You've now got to start thinking ahead to those days.

And give yourself credit. I remember around the same weight dropping to .8 lbs to a lb and a 1.5-loss for quite a while. It won't always be in larger chunks. Be happy.

I love reading these journals, gang. Reminds me of how that felt for me the first time those numbers popped up!

You're doing so well! April seems to be a slow month for most of us. Let's make up for it in May. You are doing so, so well!!!

Wondering how you are doing today. That first-day result was stellar! So encouraging. I love the report of sleeping well, vivid dreams. That's what happens to me too.

Doing fine. In the morning I have a little black coffee but other than that it's water.
There is so much more time to kill when you're not thinking about food, preparing meals, planning and shopping for food. The workday will fly by and when I get home I think I will go for a leisurely walk to occupy the time that I would normally be eating.

Many people report that the toughest day of a fast is either day 2, day 3, or day 4.
For me it's day 1, just building up the inertia to miss that first meal is the hardest part for me.
Yesterday and this morning I feel good, have good energy, and no hunger.
Still undecided as to how far I want to go with this.

You're doing really well, and the best part is that you don't have to go any longer than what you feel you need to. :-)
