What was supposed to be a rainy day has turned out to be sunny. I got my water exercise done at the YM and also swam some laps. One of the risk factors involving enlarged aorta is overweight so I have a new impetus to lose some more weight.
Katla - Sorry about the finger. I broke mine trying to shove my mare over when she was coming through a gate too fast and I thought she might knock me down. No fun! I have fond memories of horseback riding in the Mount Rushmore area, gorgeous place. You should go to the lighting ceremony if you can.
KJ - Love Joaquin with his mustachio.
Allie - Keep hanging in there.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA3 -
Hello,
I am looking forward to the weekend. Lunch with friends on Saturday and then a visit from the grandkids.
I have 7 weeks left until retirement. One full week of vacation the week of July 4th. I had enough vacation days left to take every Monday off until I leave. So every weekend is a 3 day weekend.
Weight loss has stalled. I have stayed on my food plan, but need to get back into an exercise routine.
Allie, I feel for you and the difficulties of a pending divorce. I went through a similar situation, my ex was cheating with a neighbor, we socialized with her and her husband. I decided that I was going to let a judge decide the property split. I live in Texas which is a community property, no fault divorce state. Well, that doesn't necessarily mean a 50/50 split. His income was 3 times mine. I was awarded 60% of the joint assets and he had to pay all attorney's fees and credit card balances. Assets included the value of his pension plan and 401k. He had tried to tell me that I wasn't entitled to any of the pension because we hadn't been married 10 years. He was wrong. Because the pension value was not a liquid asset, that amount was also taken from his 401k. Just like you I had copies of all accounts and records and gave them to the attorney. So be strong and stay the course when it gets tough. I hope you find that the hardest part was making the decision and once that was done it is just following your attorney's advice.
I love seeing all the pictures of the grandchildren. Here are my two at Easter

Thanks all for sharing your retirement stories! We should manage comfortably enough with everything paid for and I don't want to work the extra year until I'm 65. So just one more for me. I used to think 55 but life doesn't always work the way you thought it might. Part of the reason I want to be retired is to be able to schedule my exercise to my own body rhythms. As it is, I find excuses after working all day. I'm struggling to really get started this time.3

Ladies,
Will post tomorrow.... been trying to catch up. New puppy keeping me busy! Oh my! I slept in the recliner with her last night to see if she'd make it through the night... she was good until 2:00 AM. Will move into the guest room with her tonight.
Anyhow, am pooped and thought a lot of Joyce and her new kitten last night who takes care of his bathroom duties without any fuss or muss.
Rosie is playing hard, eating lots, sleeping hard. She and DH are in love.
Thinking of everyone - Becca and Prudence, Allie, Katla's broken finger, Heather and Kate with their election results, and others facing challenges and uncertainty right now.
TGIF! And then some!

For those of you worried about GodMomKim, I did text her today and got a prompt reply:
"I'm fine : Amazingly busy. Give everyone my love.
Allie: Adding my prayers to all the others good wishes and energy. Stay safe, and if you need anything, let us know.
Katla: Hand specialists are worth their weight in gold. Hope your finger heals quickly.
Sue: Reiki heading your way. Stay strong.
Beth: Yes! One day at a time. Sometimes the hardest part of a gym routine is just showing up.
DJ: So sorry for your loss.
Retirement is anywhere between 6 months to 4 years away for me. I do have an awesome job, and know that for every miserable moment, there are 10 more that make my heart sing. However, DH's cognitive issues may get worse, which would undercut my ability to travel for business. That could be a game changer.
Stay well friends. We can do this.

Allie, I haven't been commenting much on your marital situation, but I want you to know that I think you are an extremely brave woman by standing up for yourself. I know it's scary, been there, and there will surely be tough times ahead, but I am confident that when it is over you will emerge a stronger, healthier, more independent and confident woman. Never give up on yourself and your resolve, we are all here to support you and I'm even close enough to be there for you.

Katla Ooooh! Sorry to hear about your broken finger! How did it happen? And LOL "cabana old fart". Too funny!
Cathy Very cute grandkids!
I walked a couple of miles today, went to Jazzercise class, and ran a bunch of errands. I am chilling, watching Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, eating homemade yogurt and raspberries. Life is good!

Lanette - Rosie is such a sweet looking puppy. How old is she? Congratulations on your new fur baby.
DJ - So sorry about your friend.
Cathy- beautiful picture of your grandchildren.
Well, have to start cancelling plans for vacation to Churchill with daughter and grandchildren. The railway tracks are flooding, no trains running and they might not be able to start work on them until this winter. Everyone is so disappointed, especially me. Sure hope I can get a refund on the tickets etc. The new plan is that I will go visit them in Regina and maybe we can get away for a couple of days as a mini vacation.
Have completed a week on tea drinking (6 cups of tea a day) and while I have not lost any weight, I have lost 3 1/2 inches off waist hips and bust. So yay me. Took today off for a friends birthday and was over calories for the day, but will start back at this tomorrow. I know I will start taking off the pounds too.
Hugs everyone. Take care of yourselves.

Allie you are doing great. Take it one day at a time and let your lawyer guide you
This has been another great day that started with walking the dogs with my positive and inspiring friend then teaching my line dance class. Jake continues to put a lot of effort into rebuilding our marriage
One more dog walk and then off to bed. Four AM comes very early

Michele: Sorry about Jess but I'm so glad you can be there to help.
DJ- I'm so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you
Katla: Sorry about that finger! You'll still be able to do yoga correct?
Beth: You can do it

I love Miss Fisher. I think you are the first person I know of who watches it. Well, I think I heard of one other, once, but I can't remember where or whom. It's so much fun!

So thankful it is Friday. That's about all I have. Hoping to drum up enough energy to walk the dog before it gets too dark. Hubby and I will watch some Midsomer Murders later. I love me some Tom Barnaby. Everyone take care and heal, bodies and hearts.

We watched Miss Fisher - several seasons on Netflix or Amazon.... loved it too. Can't beat the British and Australians for well-done murder mysteries!

Paula, Rosie is a little over 9 weeks old. I'd like to get her a reflective collar. Our other dog is black and has one and on dark rainy nights, that's the only way I can keep track of her when she goes beyond the back porch light. Looking at reflective cat collars right now since she's so small.
What a shame about railroad tracks flooding... is this normal or just super wet spring for you?
Way to go losing the inches! My guide is more my clothing than the scale!
Lanette2 -
Lanette, congrats on the new puppy....what an exciting challenge. If you let your dogs outdoors off leash at night, a reflective collar sounds like a good idea.
I'm going to a line dance event in Lakewood (near Tacoma) tomorrow...an afternoon of dancing....I'm going with my friend who teaches the intermediate line dance class here. We're bringing a list of dances to request so there will be a lot of dances we know.
