I'm 18, 5'7.5", and I currently am stuck around 129 lbs (sometimes +/- a pound for various daily reasons). My goal weight is 120 lbs. The heaviest I've been was 140 lbs. Last June, I started dieting at 1200 calories a day and got down to 123.5 by about October. From October until about April I ate around 1200-1400 calories per day with 1750 calories on the weekends (due to partying/alcohol), but it was okay because I just wanted to maintain. Since April, I gained about 5 pounds. Starting in the beginning of June, I've been doing cardio 5 times a week and strength 3 times a week with 1200 calories. I CANNOT shed those 5 pounds again. I have been stuck ALL SUMMER. I am extremely frustrated. I wanted to at least get down to my low weight of 123.5 lbs by September 1st but it doesn't seem to be happening. I even gave myself about a week of 1500 calorie refeed days. WHAT DO I DO??? I need to lose that weight before I start school. Should I go down to 1000 calories??? I need any advice!

Your BMI is 19.9. You have a very healthy weight, and are on the slender side of that. It sounds like you have to starve yourself and exercise compulsively to get a lower weight. Why do you feel compelled to pursue the minimum healthy weight for your height?
I think you need to take advantage of your college's resources, both in nutrition/fitness, and in counselling.11 -
It's tough to lose those last pounds. Have you tried fasting? I just recently found fasting to be great for my weight loss and maintenance. I eat one meal a day and fast for 23 hours. I eat 1500 calories in one meal. I'm 5'4", 115lbs. So this is my maintenance, but you could reduce to your small deficit for loss. 1000 calories is way too low for you. Just calculate your deficit at 15-20%. Then try OMAD, aka warrior diet. It works for me.8

You should heed tomteboda's advice.5 -

Maybe have your goal to lose half a pound a week, and don't worry about hitting your goal by a certain date. Why stress yourself out? Do NOT got down below 1200 calories. You need the energy to function. And my opinion is not to add fasting to your regimen. I think the advice @tomteboda gave you is right on the money. Perhaps a quick trip to your doctor would give you additional insight, and maybe a suggestion for how to get to your goal weight. You're young, and it's possible your lowest weight when you were even younger isn't appropriate for you now.1
