Hello everyone -

I need some tips/advice on how to get rid of some stubborn cellulite on my thighs. I started my weight loss journey this past January and went from 131lbs to now 105 lbs. I have done P90X, Insanity, Brazil Butt Lift, Zumba and now doing Jillian ripped in 30 days and 6 week abs. I eat pretty healthy, with Sundays as my cheat day. Nothing I eat has over 10g of sugar and no hydrogenated fats. I can still see cellulite on my thighs and am super frustrated! Hoping someone has some tips for getting rid of this nightmare. Lipo or other treatments is not an option for me. I am looking for some exercise tips.

Thanks in advance!!

I worked in the cosmetic industry and seen all the creams and lotions...the main step with using them is massaging them into the thighs, so the hint is...while you are in a hot shower, take a lofa or a cloth or just your hands and really massage and manipulate the area. It is fat trapped in your skin and if you massage it and manipulate it, it will decrease!!! No hocus pocus, give it a try it is the best, cheapest and most guaranteed thing, But it will take time!

This isn't a tip, but I heard that cellulite is caused by the amount of Estrogen in your body. I have no clue if this is related, but do you have a lot of soy in your diet? I've heard soy triggers Estrogen production. I wonder if it is related.
It sounds like you are doing everything right to lose it!

I watched a show were people rolled oranges on their thighs to help the fat disperse.

I have a hysterical picture in my head right now. Thanks for the Monday laugh.

From what I have read and been told cellulite is a genetic issue. Even super duper skinny people have it if it is in their genes. I am not sure if exercise can get rid of it, as it has to do with the formulation of the fat within the tissue.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but i think that how much cellulite you have is partially down to your genes. so some people will always have some regardless of how thin your are....

I had pretty yucky cellulite at 105 pounds. Now I have none. The way I did it was to gain 5 pounds of pure muscle over 6 months, lifting as heavy as possible (lots of squats and deadlifts!). My hamstrings got more muscular, and smoothed over the ripples. So I'm a little heavier (same size clothes though) but I look a heck of a lot better.

Maybe a genetic thing-my mom and her sisters have it-I have it too-also heard that drinking lots of water and heavily massaging will help???

I realized about a month ago that I wasn't taking in enough protein, therefore not seeing the muscle I should have built in the 6 months of training. I've since raised the level, have noticed muscle hardening. Maybe it will take a few more months? Hope that is my answer...hate having ripples!

Squats and eating lots of apples (and not much else. Squats and lunges are good, though. Build up the muscle.
