This thread is for anyone who rides a bike. Do you bike to work? Do you pull your children to the park? So you ride weekends? Do you spin, at home or the gym? Do you race crits, ironman, or centuries? Or, are you just starting out and remembering how much fun you had biking when you were a kid? However you choose to push your pedal, you are welcome on this thread.

    I'm in again. :) Summer's coming!!

And for those miserable days, there's always indoor cycling.

First indoor bike training session of the winter and more like an IT training course.
Had to remember how to connect my HRM to the bike, my phone to the WiFi and and also to the bike, the bike to my Garmin to pick up the power and cadence sensors and then control the bike from a phone app. Phew!
    Data flying everywhere....

To get my head around using power as my intensity metric again did a variety of workouts:
20 min fast (meaning fast for me of course!) @ 211 watts, 40 min steady ride at 160 watts and then a fast 3 min sprint @ 247 watts.

Got an outdoor ride in today - was in two minds whether to cycle as temperature was borderline for me (9c) but so glad I did. Beautiful mostly bright day with dry roads. Hands and feet cold but not dead! :)

Moderately chilly on the commute this morning - a balmy -3.2C. Time to break out the lobster gloves if this cool snap continues

Oh man, I've had a pretty poor cycling year. Also a pretty poor year for maintaining my weight loss. Ugh, whyyyyy???? But, better late than never, gearing myself up for winter bike commuting! I'm hoping for no snow for a little while longer yet so I can ride my new (to me) bike - a teeny tiny Waterford ST-14. Holy heck I'm in love. Once the snow hits and stays, I'll need to drag out my old winter rig, which needs some significant work. Bah.

    11/2 - 28 miles
11/3 - 8 miles (last outing for my road bike for the year. I put it down in the basement to hibernate after this ride, sniff sniff)
    11/6 - 17 miles

    November total: 53 miles

11/7 - 18 miles - signed up for the masters swim team at the Y. Alarm set for 4:45 to bike to the gym for the 6:30 practice. Instead, I stayed in bed until 6:45. Hard to motivate oneself out of bed when it's so freakin cold. Going to try again on Thursday.

Happy dance in the gym today - set a new PR for 20 minute FTP test.

Nothing impressive in the grand scheme of things but I'm just delighted still to be improving my fitness at age 57.

I haven't ridden my bikes (indoor or outdoor ) for a couple of years. I want to start up again so thought this challenge would be a good way to start. I am a fair weather rider so will do primarily indoor cycling to start.

    I'm in.
Been a little sore, plus donated blood last week so lost a day there . Trying not to overdo it (as I always do) and get injured, so working on ramping back up. I cycled 355 miles in October, but in November I'm off to a slow start, so I'll shoot for 300 miles.
