It's awesome stuff - I'm actually part of a research group putting together a study about the contents of milk after 12mo. Frankly if mine if has the antibodies I hoped, it's rubbish milk as she's often got a cold :P

Eeeeek! I've got to get back on track! I'm up to 64.8kg as of this morning :'( I've just been munching as if there's no tomorrow. Yip, @VeryKatie it's very possible I was posting at some random hour :D

    I'll join!

    Goal weight: 145-150 lb
    Height: 5' 9"
    Age: 38
    Second child - also have a 10-year-old

    Pre-pregnancy: 150 lb
Daughter was born early at 33weeks + 3days: 180 lb
    Baby's birth weight at 33w+3d: 5lb 1.1 oz

    Currently 17 weeks pp.
Initial weight loss: 172 lb (lost 8 lbs. at 2 weeks pp)
    current weight: 160 lb (41-27.5-40)

I'm still breastfeeding and have been discouraged that I haven't seen more of a loss on the scale. I'm keeping this in perspective, however, because my waist is nearly back to what it was pre-pregnancy and my hips are going down steadily. I experienced this with the first pregnancy ten years ago -- fat loss/losing inches but not big drops on the scale.

I have been going in the wrong direction! It has been hard getting it back together with constant family visits and heading into the holidays. I am back to work today today so getting back into a consistent schedule and not being able to snack whenever I want should be very helpful. I swear I don't know how SAHMs do it, I just dont have the willpower to be around the house and not eat everything in the pantry! I am back into my "fat jeans" so at least I got out of the maternity pants. Would love to be back in my skinny jeans, but wouldn't we all :)

@hist_doc it sucks when the scale is being fickle, but thats awesome your waist is back where you want it!

@4legsRbetterthan2, hey there! I don't know if you're looking for recommendations, but I find that eating the same thing (like prepared chili or soup) for a few days helps to keep logging easy and doable with my added responsibilities. I only have to cook twice a week and can make nutritious healthful meals.
Also, you mentioned that you're going in the wrong direction--for what it's worth, I have found that my scale weight goes up and down the same three pounds or so before dropping to the next level, so to speak. A few weeks ago I was varying between 161-164 before it dropped to 158. This week, I went up 2 pounds, but down a full inch in measurements. I'm sure that in a week or so I'll be in the mid 150s. Just keep trucking along!

Got all my family coming to town for a long weekend, we are doing Christmas early this year, so its going to be a tough weekend to try to stay on track. Also hoping it get some decent sleep during their stay, I might have to implement a mandatory quite time after 8pm rule. Mommy has to go to bed when the baby goes down at 8 so I get some sleep, 4:15 am comes early, but it gives me time to pump in peace and get ready for work before the tiny dictator rises for the day. Guess the silver lining is the "new year" comes early for me!

Hope you all are hanging in there through the holiday hustle and bustle! I am looking forward to the end of it, do I sounds too much like a grinch???

Christmas parties, family visiting, and way to many treats. Today is my "new years" though so I am getting it back together. Thinking about signing up for a 5k in feb to force me to get back to running regularly. Usually a locked in goal helps me keep on track.

Starting to realize my figure has changed a bit from this. I used to be pretty evenly hourglassy heavy or light. I seem to be heading more towards a pear shape these days, carrying alot in my lower stomach and butt. Anyone else seeing change in their overall shape after pregnancy? Even when I was heavier before (was 240 not pregnant at my highest) I don't remember looking like this. Maybe I am just remembering incorrectly though?

Got my eating back on track the past week so yay me! I am definitely paying for those few weeks of abandon between thanksgiving and Christmas. I got back to a running schedule last week, and signed up for a 5k in Feb so hopefully that keeps me motivated and on track. Going to incorporate some body weight exercises and yoga for some resistance training to balance things out a bit too. And keep working on decreasing my calories until I find my happy place.

Working out definitely makes a difference. Just getting back into a workout routine the past week already makes me feel like I look better, but maybe that is just the endorphins talking ;) whatever, I'll take it!

Man, went down to 223 for most of last week, then was kinda bad again over the weekend and its back. Before all this I used to only swing about 2 lbs in water weight, I seem to be doing more like 4-5 now. Who knows! Ate on track with a 250 calorie deficit most of last week though and supply seemed to hang in there ok so going to try a little less and see how I do. Need to not be a slacker this weekend and actually stick to my plan. I can't let myself fall into that good during the week slacker on the weekend routine, hinders progress!!!

After all those weeks of avoiding logging. I think stress induced from the holidays. Going to try to get back into better habits. My sweet guy is now starting solids so I should start cooking again so we can all eat together. Likely it won't be till February that we actually start eating dinners together but ... better to start now before I gain more weight back. And I was as low as 125.6 lb so it's more than it looks. Plus breastfeeding burn calories are going to reduce soon too, making it harder.
