    I think it comes down to the security in the relationship despite the gender. I know needy women as well as needy men. Women tend to use their emotions more. Hence, it seems that they are more needy but ultimately if a women is independent she can bring out a males insecurities and he can become just as needy as a insecure women.

    I feel what your saying. I imagine independent women run into jealousy a lot because its not the norm a guy is used to in women.
