Do I have to lose weight first, before I start lifting?

No you do not have to wait. The sooner you start lifting the better.

I didn't wait - started fat loss and weights at the same time.

    Squat: 200 lbs
    Deadlift: 230 lbs
    Bench: 128 lbs

    Snatch: 88 lbs
Clean and split jerk: 115 lbs

Your numbers are just above mine!

Yay! We could do a partner's together <3

    That would be awesome!

I love partner's workouts. Specially if I can do them with someone who's similar in strength level as I am :D

We do them every Saturday at my box and we have 2-3 in house competitions for partners every year. Actually thinking about doing a big one soon but I'd need a partner since mine decided to go abroad to study, care to fly up to Iceland? ;)

    Um...yes please!

    54 yo male (55 next month). 5'11"/BW 195

Started lifting in May 2017 - never lifted with any sort of program before that.

All weights listed as 5-rep worksets - not sure of what my 1RM would be. All are 3 full sets.

    Squat: 275

    Bench: 200

    Deadlift: 335

    OH Press: 135

It's safe to say the 1RM would be higher, but I don't really know how much higher.

Ahh, that explains it! Yes, the Icelandic women seem to be the dominant competitors every time I look at it.

Congrats! Great lifting especially with an injured heel. Good luck in your next meet.

My best meet was a 600 lb squat, 320 bench and 620 deadlift. I could never hit my best bench on the same day I hit my best squats or deadlifts. I did bench 352 twice in competition.

I see many people telling their BW. But what is more important it is your height because taller you are more time under tension your muscles will be to perform each reps.
    6’3”
    BW 225lb

    Squat - 484lb
    Deadlift - 484lb
    Bench - 396lb

Here are my one rep maxes, tested just last week, squats are what I have been doing previous to injury. Still working on the squats (old pb was 110kg/242lbs)...I do not compete...

    Squats - 100 kg (220 lbs)
    Bench Press - 62.5 kg (137.5 lbs)
    Barbell Row - 72.5 kg (159.5 lbs)
    Overhead Press - 42.5 kg (93.5 lbs)
    Deadlifts - 125 kg (275 lbs)

43 years old, 173.4lbs (lost weight down to 167lbs and have just done a 3 month bulk cycle), female, 5 foot 5.

    Squats - 110 kg (242 lbs)
    Bench Press - 67.5 kg (149 lbs)
    Barbell Row - 80 kg (176 lbs)
Overhead Press - 42.5 kg (93.5 lbs) UNTESTED recently

Yes, my deads and squats are lagging badly. Need to re-test my OHP.
