She’s 9.5 and is 142 lbs. We are putting her on a health kick. She has poor impulse control.

Yes please make sure her doctor knows and advises on proper nutrition goals for her age. This app is designed for adults with adult nutrition needs in mind.1 -
MFP won't provide accurate caloric goals, for anyone under 18 years old; therefore it's necessary to take your Daughter to a Registered Dietitian {not a Nutritionist, since they don't receive; enough education}!1
