Hi, soooo it looks like I can do premium things, and I have no ad's... Which is cool but I don't want to be charged, and I'm pretty sure I didn't sign up for it. Has anyone else got this?

Six posts in and you're handed 'premium' on a platter??

    Six posts?

    Really?

To be fair, the first five were amazing.

But is this a thing mfp has been known to do? Just give out premium to people?

well, yeah... it's difficult to argue with that.

I suppose that there is greater focus on quality over quantity, huh?

Idk, sometimes quantity wins and I like to see how many I can bang out in under an hour.

Every one of my posts is pure gold, like my post about the hidden calories in chewing gum to my posts about frozen mint peas.

    Where is my premium membership?

Well, thanks to the helpful posts. Doubt me if you want, I didn't expect it. I mostly use mfp for the easy calorie counting and stay off the forums because they make me impatient about my goals or hungry. I've been a member for a few years now, and I was genuinely wondering if this was a thing. I have a screenshot.

And it says more about you than me if you're jealous of me having something I would never have bothered paying for tbh. Or, it could be that I accidentally upgraded, and I am paying for it.

Probably participated in a challenge and "won" a free premium-membership.
In the near future you will, most likely, be asked if you want to continue or cancel.
Guess what your answer should be.

    BTW: I love your sarcasm

Not sure if they do this on MFP, being a German user I cannot participate in MFP-challenges (For what reason ever), but they most certainly do on endomondo (another UA site), so I considered this approach to be very likely.

Interesting. I've been a member 6+ years and no freebies :disappointed: As long as you've never given them any credit card info, I wouldn't sweat it. Even if it's a clever ploy to get you to continue the paid service they can't exactly charge you with no info
