Should I eat more carbs ? I workout quite often (dance rehearsal for ~2 hours 3x a week and when I’m not there I’m at the gym lifting/ running) and don’t know if I should increase them. They’re at about 45% right now and idk if I should go to the MFP of 50%. And I feel dragged but not sure if that’s the right path to take.

It depends on you. Some feel energized by carbs, and then people like me feel exhausted by the energy swings. Higher or lower carb could help.

This is one of those things that everyone has to figure out for themselves, because individuals can react differently to macro balances. You've been logging your food for a few weeks at least? Reset your macros to a higher carb level for two weeks, record as usual, and see how you feel. You might try a higher protein/lower carb level, if that doesn't work for you.

I really believe this is why so many people choose "named" diets (not you in particular, but the general population). It's so much easier when some authority lays out the rules and regulations of losing weight, but the truth is that individuals have preferences and medical issues and ethical issues and no one rigid program works for everyone. It's harder when we need to experiment and observe and test in the real world to figure out what works best. Harder, but it can be far more rewarding.

Good on you for being willing to pay attention and find what suits your own body! Best of luck --

Why have you started another thread?

You need to eat more calories, full stop. Yes eat the extra in carbs if you want.
