Too much sodium and it takes a few days to go away3

I cycle water like crazy. I can go up 5 lbs overnight easy, let alone over the course of a week...3

Have surgery. The edema will even overshadow the 12 hours of clear fluids, 15-hour fast, and enema required prior. Why yes. That did happen this week. Why do you ask?10

Be a pre-menopausal female at a particular stage of her menstrual cycle, for one. Or start a new exercise program. Or eat more carbs or sodium than usual, even if it's a perfectly healthy amount of either/both. Or eat a bunch of high-fiber food within a couple of days before the 2nd weigh-in, that's still mostly in digestive transit. Or one of many other reasons for water weight or digestive contents to be a little higher.
Heck, I gained 4.4 pounds between Friday morning and Sunday morning, and I'll guarantee you I didn't eat 15,400 calories over maintenance (and I'm post-menopausal). In my case, it's water weight and digestive contents from extra carbs/sodium . . . it'll be gone in a few days. In fact, 2 pounds of it was gone by this afternoon.
If you didn't eat 8750 calories more than maintenance, your water weight will be gone in a few days, too.
Don't worry.

Oh gosh now I'm having flashbacks to feet so swollen I thought my skin would split. Once it started to clear out of my system I peed and sweated out 25 lbs in 3 days.6 -

Same question came up a week ago, so wondering if this goes back further than one week? Looking her diary I see nothing that should put her above eating over maintenance. Has to be water weight shifts/retention.

I may have misunderstood her comment, I thought she meant she had once gone over 1200cal, with that number being her maintenance.0 -
