Aaarrrggghhhhhhh. Sprained my wrist or tendons or something at the gym - not great timing when the nationals are five days away. Must have done it with either the goblet squats or mountain climbers. Can't even hold a coffee cup in my left hand!

Will try a swim this afternoon and see how painful it is.

Free and back weren't too bad on my injured wrist, but br and fly were excruciating. Doesn't bode well for the 200IM and 400IM next weekend :disappointed:

    1000m

    200m relaxed
    200m breathing drills to 13
    200m with hand paddles
    100m legs only
    100m arms only
    150m medley backstroke and crawl
50m underwater trial. Did 25m no problem but a person got in way, so I surfaced at the end and took just the one breath - only got about 3/4 way back lol

Got a late start yesterday. Only 5km.
Tried to incorporate some technique changes after watching a physics of swimming video regarding spread or cupped fingers. It comes Down in the side of spread.
Also forced myself to concentrate on my kicking. Currently it is rather weak.
For my 100m time down to 2:05 average for 5km.
Saturday I was around 2:09/100m avg For 6.4km
I am also more aware that I swim faster when others are in the pool, particularly when someone thinks they are racing me. Ha!

1.5 mi last night. I kept my fins on for a couple of sets to work on body positioning. My legs are sinking again. This hasn't been a problem for months. I'm not sure what's going on...

only got 3.4km yesterday. Got kicked and scratched too much. Couldn't take it anymore.
One guy was trying to do crumb crawl with his arms but frog kick win his legs. He also refused to pause even a second at the wall to let swimmers pass. He kicked me a bunch of times.
I sent a suggestion to the sale guy I see wash trip. Suggested they made a rule for the fast lane that nobody can be in the fast lane doing beat stroke or frog kick if anyone is doing freestyle in the fast lane. It is a safety issue.

Tried 1200m today. Still pretty ouchie for fly and breaststroke. Nationals start tomorrow evening - have entered 800 free, 400IM, 200 back, 200IM and 400 free. Will see how I go - might only swim a couple of them.
