    Baby don’t hurt me

    Love hurts.... I know :-(
    You just know

I agree with this! I think you do just know. It’s a different kind of feeling. It’s something that you can’t really put into words.

I don’t know anymore. I’ve experienced a few things that I thought were love and I still think they were but ultimately I’m thinking it’s hormones and then a decision to stay????? That’s as far as romantic love goes. I’m not confused about loving a pet, family, friends.

I dont know. I still dont feel like I have ever really "been in love". I am not trying to sound sad or anything. I care alot about my husband and definitely wouldn't give him up lightly, but I just have never felt that whole "i cant live without you" type feeling that maybe love is supposed to be. Or not. Shrug. I never wanted to feel that way either so maybe that is the problem.

Possibly, but a lot of the times people don’t appreciate what they have until they loose it. I’m not saying that, that’s your situation. I’m just stating that generally speaking sometimes we don’t realize how important a person is, until they are gone and we’re left with that void. It’s in that moment we come to terms with our choices.

Thats a good point. Im not willing tp experiment to find out right now (hummmmm, maybe I am more needy that I want to admit?)

Love fills you, makes you forget about all else, the good, the bad. You’ll do anything for it if you have it. Love makes you travel far away to experience it. You’ll take small breaks to enjoy it, take it in. You’ll breath it in and it’s scent will cause all of the stress to leave you. Love causes pain, excruciating pain. I takes your breath away...causing your chest to hurt. It causes fear, some of the greatest fear you’ll ever experience.

My children have taught me that love can be selfish. The loves of/in my life have taught me that love is selfish, painful, exciting and heartbreaking.

Love is a homeless guy searching for treasure in the middle of the rain and finding a bag of gold coins and then slowly finding out they're all filled with chocolate and even though he's heart broken he can't complain cause he was hungry in the first place

    There’s some truth in here

I have loved 3 times. Each one of them have been in different stages in my life. I dont open myself up to people and I'm not good at expressing deep emotions so when I do that's how I know it was love.

Love is being in the ocean and feeling the subtle lift of a big wave right behind you. You're floating, riding the wave and it's a powerful force. When you're in love you don't care if they see your snarkalicious side or pouty baby side, you don't worry about anything frightening them away. You don't have to bat your eyeballs or be coy. You can look them directly in the eye and say whatever you want to. You can wad your hair up and wear a pair of your underpants on your head while you put your face on. Or not. You take the leap. Bare your soul. Go big.

Howard Jones asked the very same question back in the 80s, He may be able to offer some advice. https://youtu.be/w34vnz_LEX4
