Feel free to add me for smoothie recipes and motivation!!

Lots of people have been debating between Whole 30 and the Keto diet. I have bias because I personally did Whole30 and it resulted in me losing close to 25 pounds.

My reason why Whole30 Beats Keto:
Keto is literally just putting fats into your body. If you eat according their system of belief then your cholesterol has the potential to soar and your digestive system could be negatively influenced. Do your research and realize that EVERY PERSON IS DIFFERENT. Doing it because your best friend says it works does not mean it’ll work for you.

The alleged link between dietary and serum cholesterol is so 1985.

So do your research and realize that differences between people are relatively minor.

Right because you could trust a GP with no research experience that went to school who knows how many years ago or you could trust research coming out of prestigious institutions. But hey, I just read it in some trash journal, know science. http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2017/12/it-time-retire-cholesterol-tests

How is this a comparison? Better for what? And what does it have to do with smoothies?

Whole30 is an elimination diet to suss out food allergies. It's been bastardized into a "cleanse" or a weight loss diet, but it's neither. I do know some people who used it as a way to get motivated to cook more and eat less processed food, but I know far more who quit before they finished.

Keto is a weight loss strategy that focuses on eating a small amount of carbs. It can be successful for people who find many carbs are trigger foods for them or who find fat very satiating. The myth that high fat diets cause high blood cholesterol levels has been largely debunked, except for a minority of people who have a specific genetic condition.

I agree that different people will find different WOEs effective. You actually don't need to follow a named diet at all, just eat a calorie appropriate well-balanced diet and learn which foods work for you as you go. :drinker:

But doing it because some random dude on the internet said so means it will?

Personally, I gained doing a whole 90, and lost weight doing keto. I'm not going to recommend either because, in your own words, every person is different.
