    @brittdee88 @mistymeadows2005 I'm laughing. :D

    My sense of humor can be a little dry.

    Your goal is the exact same as mine - be able to fit comfortably into everything in my closet! I was SO close before I went to Europe, there was probably about 2% that didn't fit. Now it's probably closer to 25% that doesn't fit... :'(

    On the male side:

    I'm donating clothes right and left, it's so exciting!

    Have been told to not keep my "fat" clothes around, so the option is not there.

    What would you guys recommend? Perhaps a size above and below my current status?

    This "festive" shirt from the Bahamas is still staring at me. You will be concurred, smiley faced shirt guy with great hair!

    @brittdee88 How is your trip going?

    Frame your favorite pair. Get rid of the rest.

    For me, just due to space issues, I got rid of all of mine. In the process I realized I never like any of them anyway. Skinny clothes (or regular clothes I guess) are much cuter anyway!

    Hey, OMAD peeps!
    Sorry I have been away — last week’s shifts were 12-15 hours everyday (including the weekend!), so I am just now settling down and into a routine today.

    Weight update:
    The doctor’s office-type scale in the gym had me clocking in between 147 and 148 last Monday, which was super surprising. Today, I clocked in closer to 144. Not sure if my home scale or the gym scale is correct, so I am just tracking progress for now. So 3-4 lbs lost for this week!

    Movement update:
    Last week was go-go-go, so I never clocked less than 11K+ steps each day. On my busiest day, I clocked in almost 23K. Because I didn’t have much time, I only worked out in addition to running around and lots of heavy lifting twice last week. I am back on my MWF lifting and TThS walking schedule as of today. Today was upper body lift, and tomorrow will be a long 5-mile walk around beautiful Los Angeles.

    Food update:
    I didn’t stick at all to low carb last week. Since I was always on the move, I grabbed convenience items when I could, which were usually carby. I have decided this week to go back to vegetarianism with special attention to lower carb and higher protein choices. This decision was a long time coming and was solidified by the fact that all of the meats provided by the cafe per my meal plan are cooked in soybean oil. Soy and I do not get along in the least. I also will not be purchasing food separately to try to accommodate meat because I am more interested in growing my savings account. As such, my meals so far are looking like cottage cheese, berries, and nut butter for breakfast and huge salads with hard boiled eggs and all kinds of veggies otherwise. Sometimes the soups are meat- and soy-free, but not very often. I’m happy about this, as it was just the motivation I needed to leave meat behind as I have been wanting to and to get serious about researching ways to make vegetarianism work for me.

    Fasting update:
    I’m sticking to OMAD on rest days, which are Sundays (minus yesterday since I was super active). I’m oscillating between 2MAD and 3MAD on workout days depending on my hunger.

    Days until maintenance: 68!

    Anytime scales you use are off, always divide the results and call that your "official" weight for that week.

    Vegetarian is an ideal choice. I keep getting contacted about people losing their best (many of them PCOS and hypothyroid women who have REAL trouble losing) and they go to a 90/10 regimen (carbs vs protein or fats) and break past their plateaus, which, of course, means it will work for anyone. And a lower fat approach does seem to accelerate fat loss.

    @arguablysamson thank you! Great advice :)
    I didn't actually bring my home scale, so I am only going based off of the one in the gym. However, I will definitely average the weights I measure on the last day I am in LA with the first day back in Miami.

    I was a big animal activist back in the day and was either vegetarian or vegan for years, so I am happy to transition back to that way of eating. I gained quite a bit before because I wasn't eating much protein and was eating all of the carbs and convenience foods (full of a bunch of allergens that I didn't realize affected me back then). As long as I keep an eye on my carb and protein intake and keep my meals relatively simple and unprocessed, I am sure I can make it work.

    @brittdee88 Welcome back!

    Walking around LA sounds fun.

    Hear you on the vegetarian lifestyle. It's a quandary on an ethical level, at times. Could easily pull off the lacto/ovo variant.

    With the current supplements available, it is fairly easy to manage. I'm subscribed to a few YouTubers that use different methods(and flourish). Often, I find myself eating hummus, veggies, guacamole, nuts, seeds and pea protein smoothies for OMAD/2MAD meals. Those meals don't make for good "food porn", however.

    @Brittdee88 glad you are back.
    Sound like you have a great plan and I am sure your results will show for it.

    Enjoy LA, sounds so fun!

    Thanks, everyone!
    I'm feeling a bit dejected this morning because I binged last night for the first time in several months (I think the first time this year!). I am fairly certain that this is related to the fact that my caloric deficit before the binge was higher than I personally prefer after all of the exercise I did yesterday (~800) combined with the fact that I stayed up late talking to a friend that I'm really missing while in LA. Hunger/feeling deprived and negative emotions like loneliness and sleeplessness are a recipe for disaster for me, and I failed. I am pretty heartbroken because I made it so long without one and thought I was pretty firmly on the other side of this behavior. In any case, I am going to start tracking calories on workout days to try to avoid what happened yesterday.

    Britt I am so sorry to hear about your binge. It seems you had a lot going on with the deficit, emotional, etc. but it is good you are able to recognize the triggers and put things in place so it won't happen in the future. Stay strong, you have been a huge inspiration and there is no doubt you will move on from this.

    *hugs*

    Awwww babe I'm so sorry - that's the worst :( As someone who deals with emotional eating on a regular basis I completely understand your disappointment, but chin up! You're doing AWESOME and one slip up doesn't change the fact that you're making awesome progress in the right direction! <3<3<3
