I have great admiration for those of you who do fairly complex drill routines.
All I do is get in and go. My breast stroke is weak. Can't do back stroke due to arthritis, and never learned butterfly. But i have worked to improve my front crawl technique.
    4 miles last night.
Arms and back still recovering for pushing a but to much in the weight room on Monday. That only reinforces the need to get to the weight room more. I didn't think I pushed that hard.

6000m charity swim for our national specialist children's hospital. Including about 1400 pull. And did the last 25m fly to finish off!

Just found out that the gym and pool I've been going to for the last six years has gone into liquidation. So Sundays swim will have been the last time I get to go there. Feeling gutted and sad. Getting to a pool is going to be much more difficult for me now not to mention I probably can't afford a gym membership as well as pool entry fees. Having a pool/gym complex was so good. Sad day here :disappointed:

4 miles last night. Swimming circles around slowskies doing breast stroke in the fast lane again.
On the plus side, the life guard that speaks some English said I should do a lesson with coaches on distance swimming. I thought it was kind of funny. I'm not a competitive swimmer. Not fast. Just determined.

I’m not getting as many swims in lately, nor as long, but they are feeling better, so I’ll take that as my win.

Have not been in the water since I was in the ocean last month. I miss it, but my pool gets too crazy in the summer and is not friendly to evening lap swim. Still following you all, and on my bike just about every day for a replacement. But I do miss the chlorine so much...

So sorry to hear that. If I didn't have a nearby pool to help me two years ago, I don't think I would have made the progress that I did. I know you're in another category, but ... I wish pools were not so expensive to operate. We have lost just a few lately, but when there only are a few around, it's a huge impact. And rarely are there new pools being built. They are not that expensive to build, but maintaining them is so very expensive...
