6/27 - Wednesday - 196.6 - Worked really hard to avoid stress eating last night - stayed within calories and made dinner at home after some less than stellar news at work. HUGE WIN - as I normally would have went straight for the comfort foods on the way home. Now to continue on with good planning and choices because the stress shall remain for a while. Cheesesteak stuffed pepper for dinner tonight for me and cheesesteak sandwich for DH. Breakfast smoothie and lunch prepped and packed and made it to work on the early side so feeling good about all those things. Going to an outdoor concert friday and packing a picnic so need to plan that menu. Lots of planning has gotten me this far and I'm finally starting to enjoy the habit.
6/28 - Thursday - 196.4 - I believe TOM is imminent. I'm feeling a bit bloated and I've been hanging out at the same weight for 3 days - which is a pattern I've noticed the past two months. Also a carb monster. I've been around 100g of carbs the past few days - today is around 150g and I'm okay with that. I planned my day of eating around pizza for dinner but I need to get more protein in - and in different ways than my protein shake - getting sick of it and that's when things turn bad for me. Going to get a bunch of those tuna packets and make that my afternoon snack. Last night was good - took a nice walk and had a steak and cheese low carb wrap instead of the pepper but it all worked out. Need to do some prep tonight to get ready for tomorrow evening outdoor concert as we will probably leave from work so it will be a busy night tonight. I find I'm managing stress a LOT better. Good food = good vibes for me. If I was going thru what I am now, 6 months ago, my head would have been buried in a pot of pasta. Feeling healthy, hopeful, and strong.
6/29 - Friday - 196.2 - Good night last night - stuck to food plan. A bit of a self sabotage morning - I skipped making breakfast smoothie - but I did bring my protein powder. I didn't pack lunch - we didn't have much to pack. I bought donuts for the work crew - but havent eaten one yet! Hmmm...alright so to avoid falling prey to the traps I have set for myself, I will; drink my protein shake by 11, make a reasonable choice for lunch (maybe panera or taco bell cantina bowl?), log it and move on whatever happens. Picnic tonight - stopping at the grocery store on the way and I CANNOT be starving when we are shopping or I'll overeat tonight. Stick to - 1 bread, 1 cheese, 1 meat,1 dried fruit, 1 type of nuts - also possibly something from the prepared food; some time of protein? Cookies for dessert. Today is my 20 but need to remind myself not to make a whole weekend out of it! Back to basics tomorrow. Be in the moment and ENJOY tonight with DH.

6/27 at 7:15 / 227.4 / Wow! That's 2.6 pounds overnight. I had a drop like that last round, too, though I bounced right back up. Sometimes, I imagine my body is laughing like that cartoon dog with the weird laugh as I get on the scale. "Let's see how surprising I can be. Tee hee hee."
6/28 at 6:20 / 228.4 / A little bump, but I did a ton of exercise yesterday, including new resistance loop exercises. I expected to have more of a water bump than this.

My fat cells finally seem to be ready to let go. Yay! Finally! I'm planning a nice long walk this evening before the "hazardous heat" returns tomorrow, and we're going to try a new-to-us Ethiopian restaurant for lunch. Vegetarian injera platter for me! Yum!

Another day on which I didn't plan to go so low on calories, but even stuffing myself on Ehtiopian veggies, my big fat lunch cals were not much, and I just wasn't hungry until about 9, when I had an English muffin with peanutbutter.

I'm going to jump in again after disappearing for a bit.
Starting Weight: 193 (July 2016)
Lowest Weight: 135ish (March 2018)
Current Weight: 153.7
Goal: 140ish by end of July (I suspect some of this weight is water, so hoping will come off easily. I have lost 10 pounds in water weight in a week before...so maybe. If it does not drop off easily at first, then I will adjust the goal to a bit higher.)
I stopped logging for a while and just exercised yesterday for the first time in about a month. I see what happens when I stop logging and just let go. I want to be able to maintain without logging, but it is just not going to happen for me. Back to it then. Glad this group is around as it has been very motivating for me in the past!

6/27: Weight = 165.8 Scale hasn't moved in 3 days...Will just keep doing what I'm doing and hope for a whoosh to be coming! Completed Day 8 of The Betty Rocker 30 Day Challenge yesterday which was an Abs workout and was under in calories for the day. My hamstrings are a bit tight today so I'm going to do some stretches and get in a short shake out run before today's Day 9 workout. This group really motivated me to stay committed the last round, hoping to do the same this round!
6/28: Weight = 165.4 Well, the scale finally moved a small bit down after 4 days, but not sure it is real. I had to get on and off a couple of times before this number showed up, the numbers were all over the place. I don't want to say it is discouraging, because it just motivates me more to stay committed but it is a bit of a bummer to not see any real progress so far this week. Exercise and food wise, yesterday was right on target. I was right on my calorie goal, hit my macros, went for a short run, completed day 10 of my exercise challenge which was a full body workout. I didn't have any gluten, diet cokes or alcohol & drank plenty of water. I still have a lot of pain in my calves, which I am pretty sure is DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness). I know those small muscle tears can retain water, so I am hopping that is the cause of the scale not going down. Today is a yoga day, thankfully! I'm also not going to have the protein powder I started using a couple of days ago, in my diet today. That's the only thing new I've added in this week, so maybe it could be the sneaky culprit
6/29 Weight = 165.4 Ugh!!! So frustrating! I don't think I have every tried to lose weight and had this happen. There had better be a huge Woosh in my future The good news is the DOMS in my calves in lessening, so hopefully the scale will start to move again. Yesterday was a good day food wise, ate according to plan, hit my calories and my macros, IF 16:8, didn't have gluten, diet coke, or alcohol, and had plenty of water. I completed day 11 of my exercise challenge which was yoga and gave my sore legs a bit of a rest. It's hot here today, for the 1st time in a week or so (upper 90's) but still going to try to get a short run in and then do my cardio workout that is scheduled. Heading to the beach early tomorrow morning for a day trip, so will have to be up even earlier to get my workout in. Dreading the swimsuit.

@time4kristen I believe it’s easiest to use a note in my phone. I add to it each morning then copy and paste here. On the computer I would keep it in doc.
@NormaV14 I always seemed to do better when we travel. I don’t know if it’s because I was a grazer or what. Typing that I realized that I DON’T graze anymore! I know I am more mindful of my choices.
@tiabirdie56 How big is a “large” avocado? The ones from our tree in Florida were up to 5#. The pit was the size of a large avocado here. Just curious.1 -

@measem1 and @puddlegoober, I don't know if the cantaloupe was very sweet, because I didn't eat a chunk by itself. The smoothie was delicious though. I don't like my smoothies very sweet and it was perfect and creamy with the avocado. The benefit was the potassium. 724 mg potassium from the avocado and cantaloupe.
Tomorrow, I'll have 2 cubes each of cantaloupe and watermelon and 1 grape, lol. One little sugar bomb.
@EsterAttali, When it comes to drinking enough water, you sometimes have to change it up a little. Sparkling mineral water, unsweetened flavored sparkling water. Add the juice of half a lemon to your water, lemon cucumber and parsley infused in water is a great diuretic and it's a palatable refreshing treat from plain 'ol water. I need to make some myself I like to drink flavored waters with my meals sometimes.puddlegoober wrote: »I've heard good things about it; my sister-in-law swears by it. I'll pick some up today and give it a shot. Thanks @tiabirdie56 !!!
@puddlegoober, You're welcome. I hope it works for you! I obviously don't know what brand you bought, but everyone seems to gravitate to Braggs. I can say definitively, that Braggs is the least harsh and a milder tasting organic acv. I've used 3 other brands over the years and they are pretty rough.

Just did a internet search on my current scale and read the reviews and I am now tossing it in the trash! So many review on how it defaults back to old weights instead of registering new ones. Heading out to get a new scale today, found one with a lot of 5 star reviews.1
