Hi I am just beginning. I am a 5ft 5in female weighing 155lbs. I am trying to lose 10 lbs. Any suggestions.

    Welcome! Weightloss happens when you eat less and move more, and that's something you do (or not do, when it comes to eating too much). This means you shouldn't, and don't have to, just try. Weight management is actually quite easy when you understand how it works and don't get caught up in confusing and conflicting "tips&tricks".

    Second the above. From what i have learnt just on mfp and from other sources... Weight management in its most basic terms.... Eat more calories than you burn, gain weight. Same is true for the opposite. Weigh yourself once a week in the morning after a... You know..... Numero two-oh. Maybe do some weights or a bit of cardio a few times a week. Use the app to get a rough idea of a target calorie goal and see what happens after 2 weeks. No weight loss, eat 200 calories less and reassess. Welcome to mfp. Ps... Fat doesn't put weight on someone, excess calories do. Pps im crap at giving advice but i hope its helped
