Great job, Ralphone! I have great desire to snack after I have been up all night. I find that drinking a bottle of water helps with keeping it under better control.

I find myself lately snacking too much especially at night. Looking for some help to change that. I would like to be able to post something here when I want a snack and maybe someone out there can help talk me out of eating it LOL good luck to all.[/

I have 3 kids still at home. My 10 year old told me “I know you eat all the snack food after we go to bed.” I have had to get strict with myself and logging has helped me see that so many foods just aren’t worth it. It’s still hard though because after they go to bed is the only time I have where no one is bugging me to eat whatever I have.

When I watch Netflix I'm suddenly hungry and make bad food choices. So I limit my screen time and drink flavoured water. Keeping my mind busy is my way of not snacking after supper.

Thanks for starting and continuing this thread!

I am also trying to work on not snacking at night. It’s emotional/boredom eating and probably anxiety-related too. It’s hard to break, and I feel like I always need to be chewing on something.

I’ve found that eliminating trigger foods (for me these are tortilla chips and crackers) from the household keeps me from eating them. Then, I buy healthier alternatives to always have on hand (cheerios, sugarfree pudding cups, greek yogurt-based dips and low cal tortillas or Flat-Outs for dipping). Doesn’t replace my habit, but is where I’m at.

I sometimes try drinking herbal teas or zero calorie flavored water in lieu of snacking, but can’t commit to that for more than a few days.
