I don't know. As my new belly button was my old one. My doctor just cut it so that it would be cute. Although there was enough extra skin that I had enough old bellybutton to make two new ones....now that would really be interesting! Having 2!5 -
I had a tummy tuck too. I got an innie. I asked the surgeon, he chuckled.
ETA. I’m at a cool sculpting seminar at this moment.2 -
I worked up the courage and watched the video- without getting woozie.
Really interesting.
Love your progress, I can't believe the healing speed.

It was expensive, 2 treatments, approximately $2400 American. But cool sculpting is what I think I need, I still have a muffin top even at 64” 115 lbs. I will be shopping around.3 -
Overall recovery update:
I was given the all clear to start exercising again (other than slow walks and very low weight strength training), but to start slow. So I'm restarting C25K as pre-surgery I was running 2-5 miles every day (6 days a week). It's frustrating as I want to just keep running when it's walk time, but I walk and follow the program as going slow is what my doctor ordered. Feeling pretty good. Still bloated, but less bloated.21 -
Week 4 update:
Yay, halfway through wearing my compression garments all day! (6-8 weeks after surgery).
Starting to run a bit more, no more than 10 minute increments at a slow pace. I am allowed to start weight training again, just have to watch how much weight I lift. Core isolation exercises (sit-ups, good mornings etc) are still a no. I'm just doing light running and a few body weight exercises for now.
Healing well. No soreness at all!!! The only discomfort is the compression gear. I am still a bit swollen/bloated and can still feel (as well as see) the distention on my abdomen, but can finally "suck in" as a lot of the swelling has gone down.
For some reason I cannot upload my latest pictures.... Will try again tomorrow.12 -

Yay, January is great - compression wear (mostly Spanx) & summer temps are not fun.

Workarounds other people have used:- Post to instagram and then post the IG URL in the Attach image box .
- Take a screen shot of the pic with https://gyazo.com/ (or whatever screen capture you use that generates a URL) and post the URL in the Attach image box.

The secret to better recovery (actually, not so secret).
1. Be healthy going into surgery. Diet, cardio, strength. Well, duh. The healthier you go into surgery, the better you can recover as you'll still be healthy.
2. After surgery: EAT!!!! At least maintenance, if not more for the first two weeks at minimum. The human body severely ramps up calories burned in order to heal itself (why we feel so tired when we're sick....). It takes a lot of energy to heal or fight off disease. That slice of chocolate drizzled strawberry cheesecake you've been denying yourself to lose the weight: now's the Time to have it.
3. Listen to your doctor!!!! No matter how uncomfortable, sweaty (Texas desert heat in the summer) or horrible the compression gear feels, wear it. Doc says no exercise, that means NO EXERCISE! Doc says, light walks....that's it!. Doc says, don't put anything on the area (creams, lotions), DON'T! Isee a lot of people trying to push themselves while recovering and their body is just not ready.19 -
Update:
I can finally flex my abdomen. The bloating has gone down enough so that I can once again both flex and suck in my stomach. Here's my flexed and sucked in pose. BTW, I noticed the vertical line, I know I had abs somewhere in there!!!!

Wow. Looking at page 1 and contrasting this photo is amazing. I can understand why you squirreled away money for the surgery. So glad your recovery has gone well.2

Thank you. Squirreling away money is like weight loss, a little bit at a time over a year, can add up to a lot. My laundry jar (jar that sits on my dryer where I toss all the loose change I find in the laundry) was pretty full, so I stopped by my bank and added $172.12 to my thigh/boob lift savings account.
I'm still in recovery, but from my doctor and the nursing staff, I realize how quickly and well I'm recovering. I posted a little quip on what I'm doing to help my recovery. All of which is from advice from my doctor.6
