I have exactly 100 to lose and I restarted yesterday (my mom just passed away so I am restarting as I had to care for/focus on her). I’ll join all of you and see where it goes.

I started homeschooling last week. Let's just say... It's been a rough transition. Professionally, I am a classroom teacher, but it's waaay different with your own kids. Also, I loathe the curriculum we're currently using. I'm seriously stressed out about it!! Which leads to stress eating and busy non-eating, and my goal of eating more balanced meals has been terrible!

@DebCountsAll glad to see you back! I've been wondering how your trip was going! Sounds like it was wonderful- I'm so glad you got to spend the time with your dad. I've been fluctuating this summer too with all our travel. Not even close to goal, but we've both lost overall, so that's a win!

@_Shelly_Belly_ keep up the good work!!! How did your first week back at school go?

Welcome to the newcomers! Glad to have you here!

@kbeyer23 Thank you! This first and second week went well. I think this will be a busy but good semester for me. However, I am slightly worried about stress eating with my first exams. The first are always the worst because you have to learn each professors' style.

Hi everyone!!! I've been completely MIA from the thread and MFP in general. We started school last Friday and our students started this Wednesday, so I've been struggling with the new schedule and eating out with colleagues on our institute days. Now that the kids are back and I'll be bringing my lunch, it should get better, but I need to go shopping and get back in the habit of prepping all of my healthy lunches and snacks on Sunday night.

I've continued to bounce back up since I hit my summer low of 193 back on August 3rd, but it's really no surprise given I haven't even logged in a couple of weeks. Therefore, my focus for the last week of this challenge will be to log every bite starting tomorrow. :)

Hey guys! Well I didn't make my goal, but I ended the summer a solid 5 lbs lighter than I started. Even on my "heavy" days, I'm hovering in the mid-190s rather than low 200s. I will call that a win and keep pushing forward.

I also, got back on track with logging almost every day this past week, and used extra time in my 3-day weekend to prep some healthy foods for lunches at work.

Hope those of you in the US had a relaxing Labor Day. Ours was very wet, but I honestly didn't mind because it meant no family bbq obligations. I got a bunch of grading and prep work done for my classes, and food prep and laundry. Feels good not to be heading into the work week with that "I'm already behind" feeling.

It has been a rough week or two for me. I've been basically maintaining, but I suspect a little gain this week. Lots of stress, salt, lack of sleep. I couldn't log my dinner calories, it would be too hard, but I'm hoping I didn't go too over since I had a small breakfast and lunch. Brazillian steakhouse for a birthday party. I declined the soda and drank water, and I also declined the dessert menu, and had something sweet at home. But I didn't keep track of what meats I had all night. I'm STILL full this morning. I've felt dehydrated for 3 days, no matter what water I've been drinking, and yesterday's meal didn't help. I feel like a sponge that's all dried up. But all the stressful things are over, I hope I can get some sleep tonight, and bounce back tomorrow!

@moodybear2003 - Oh, those Brazilian steakhouses are delicious, but there is just so much food! We sometimes go to one for our union region dinner, and I always think I won't be able to eat for a week afterwards! Good for you for declining dessert--bet you saved a bunch of calories right there. Glad your stresses are all over and wishing you a great night's sleep.

@diane-- thanks for setting up the fall challenge dates!

AFM-- I've been mostly good at logging regularly, but I know I've missed some bites here and there, as well as entire days in some instances. Fortunately, the structure of work and just being generally busy has kept me eating better. I haven't been exercising much, but I did walk a 5k saturday with a friend and have walked my dog at least once most days, weather permitting. A colleague just suggested a 30-day squat challenge, so we are starting that tomorrow, and I also need to start training for my annual turkey trot. I really like to run that one, so I've got some work to do to get my legs back for that one.

I was happy to see that I'm almost at my summer low on the scale. I chose a pretty modest goal weight for this challenge--I just really want to see one eighty something prior to the new year.

This is about supporting others who need to lose 100 pounds. In the first post, there are some prompts for daily posting that is not required, but some people find it fun. We do challenges, this is where we post our weight from week to week and choose a goal, then others can cheer you on or offer advice if you're struggling. Welcome, and feel free to jump in on the new challenge.

I feel so much better than I did earlier in the week, and was surprised to see a loss! 3 weeks til vacay! I'm officially lower than the last time I flew, I'm really gunning for not needing the seat belt extender! I have a 5k to walk by 11/11 and a 9.75k to walk by the end of the month. I did 2 miles today on the treadmill. I'm officially at a 3mph pace. I remember struggling to do 2.3 or 2.4 mph back in March when I started! I LOVE seeing progress!

Well... hello. I'm back. I have been gone for a while -- had family conflict challenges and I lost a dear friend to cancer. In the process I managed to gain 6 pounds and weighed in at the highest weight I have been in 6 years. Well, no time like the present. I would like to join the Autumn Challenge! Here we go!

Trying to get back into the groove. Chronic bronchitis is busting my butt, but I'm still fighting. Hope to do a little exercise today. "Going to a Salt Spa today. I will spend an hour in a salt cave with salt blowing in. I did this a couple of weeks ago and it really helped me breathe better. In my heart I know that if I sucessfully lose weight it will help me. Listening to Tony Robbins tapes and he says we make changes for one of two reasons either to avoid pain or to gain pleasure. Hope the pain of being chronically ill motivates me enough to stay on track.

Rainddogma- Welcome back and so sorry for your loss. Friends are precious and it takes a long while to cultivate a deep friendship.

moodybear - Congrats on the loss. I have my own belt extender. I find it embarassing to ask for one

Zappata - Just read others posts and you will receive motivation. Choose your own method and add to the posts.

Thank you for your kind words @KATRENAJ means a lot. My friend went with me on an Alaska cruise last summer. So glad we did it. ada80fh0csoi.jpg

Getting back on track. I keep an excel sheet of my weight and have since 2004. It really shows my history and how my weight goes up during times of trouble. I am obviously a stress eater. I was down to 206 in February... but my kids are in a rift and it's really affecting me... I gained 15 lbs between then and the end of August. I am now down 6.6 lbs and really want to keep it going. Yesterday at work, there were Sees Candies on my desk... Entenmann donuts in the kitchen and so much temptation! It was a struggle!!! I did have one piece of Sees and a couple of mini donuts. I counted them in --- whatever passes the lips gets written down! So even though I caved a little bit, I am still claiming success for not going hog-wild!

Here's to a successful day and weekend for all of you on the list!

raindogma - You are beautiful in the picture. Just keep keeping on

sucessful yesterday. Tonignt going to tribute concert w/friends, outside, hope my allergies dont get worse, eyes are itching today and runny nose, despite all the meds. Started taking a mushroom immune formula hoping to build my immune system up.

Still no exercise, but will have to walk a long ways from parkng to get to the concert and have meal planned so I can stay on track. Will work out on bicycle and weight tomorrow. Having dinner with a friend and have planned in advance what to eat, Mexican (his choice) but I can have guacamole prepared at table and fajitas (share with him). As long as I choose to stay away from the chips I'm ok. I'll ask him to put them in his seat. Also, I l will need to watch portion amounts. I can do this. The pain of being unhealthy is worse than the pain of limiting my food choices. The pleasure of feeling good is worth the pain of limiting my food choices. I can do this.
    Wishing everyone a great weekend
