Several problems here with repairs to vehicles and rv's hoping everything gets sorted out! I borrowed my moms car. Come down to the resort and got pulled over because her tabs were expired! Had to go through a lot to get new tabs since I was not the owner. This is when technology really helped! Took a picture of a permission slip to get tabs from my mother-in-law's and emailed it to the DMV and got back on the road! Then I started to get the pull out couch ready for my son and daughter-in-law's visit for Labor Day weekend and they must have never secured the bolt that holds the front end of the bed up! Now to run to our rental property and get some tools to fix that. Meantime my husband is still up at the farm! Not to mention I borrowed the car because our truck was acting up and it is at the shop up by the farm hopefully it will be fixed by Tuesday! Prior to that visit Arizona RV which was up at the farm when we plugged it in it must've been wired wrong and blewout the air-conditioner furnace and our kitchen island... needless to say we have been having one difficulty after the other. So that RV is still at the repair shop! Could use prayers for all to go well!
Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

HEATHER hope your chain gets sorted soon so frustrating
KJ love the sound of kiddos with seniors, as Heather said there have been similar schemes here. TV programme on one scheme, lovely to see the littlies and the seniors interacting.
Doing 3 days KB and every day cardio, eating still out of kilter.
Been out for walks the last 2 days, it's 2.4 miles, even did a bit of running, was faster today, only 3 mins but felt great.
Did anyone watch DIETLAND on Amazon?

Barbara husband is running for a local office, so even though many from our district are not at the fair I told him I would wear one of his campaign shirts. It helps that it is one of my favorite colors. We do not see eye to eye politically , but I think it has been good for him to run. I did get one compliment on it too from a stranger.
Tracey prayers for DSIL.

Tracey--I agree grandchildren are such a Blessing.
Beth--great news for both of you.
Ann--Welcome this is a great place for support and friendship. Keep coming back.
Heather--The dress sounds very sexy!! Praying all gets moving with the moving.
Allie--Great news about the company sending a new one. I usually have good luck when I write the main company when I have a problem.
KJ--You amaze me with all you do for your daycare children. I do think the senior care center events are a great idea. It will benefit both the children and the seniors. I understand how you feel about the I wants all the time. Ever since our grandchildren have been about 3 we take them to the giving tree and have them pick out a name of someone around the same age and we go shopping for them. I do think that helps them learn to give. One christmas we made cookies and put in bags and went to a couple parks where the homeless hang out and passed them out. I believe it is a great learning experince for them.
Tracey--Hugs and prayers for DMIL and DM. Pray something will work out so you can get back and see them and spend time with them.
Mary--Sorry to hear about all your repairs coming at once. DH came to have lunch with me before he went to work and told me my van went in the shop this morning. It has stopped running when we are driving down the street a couple times, starts right back up, so he took it in to be looked at and they have to replace some y connection and could be Tuesday before we get it back and then he also told me he went and got a new washer. Ours has been making a very loud noise, but still worked. Guess not any more and that will be delivered Monday. So now to figure all this into the budget.
I work the next 4 days and hoping to get a lot done with most the offices in the hospital closed. Remember we can do this. Blessings, Vicki GI NE6 -

Thanks for your well wishes. I did a little work in my flower beds this morning. Still pulling weeds but it is too hot to work very long Still seeing spots so will rest for the rest of the day.
Rori-I had the same experience with turmeric. Took it for three days and my fingers, elbows and knees started hurting. So I was done with turmeric.

My chicken curry was to live for! Oh my!
Nice for DH to have something hot and nourishing to come back to after a long day at the cricket. England did well at the bowling. It should be a good, close match, but DH isn't going again for the lat two days. Ticket prices ridiculous. I paid for some of my brother's as his birthday present.

Exhausted, but a good exhausted I suppose. Will really take it easy this weekend, I’ve got to pace myself to be able to do right by my self and my students. Perhaps I still have some jet lag? But am exercising and stretching every day.
See y’all on the September thread!!

Tracey ... being away from family when there is a medical crisis is so very difficult. I'll be praying you find a way to travel home for both your mom and mother-in-law.
Heather ... there is NO way I would have the patience to go through that house buying h#ll you're in.
So we're home and dealing with all that comes with 2 surgeries and 10 days in the hospital. He's tough, but this took a lot out of my son. Lots to get caught up on. Forgotten birthdays. Bills to pay. Shopping, etc.

REBECCA agree about Dietland ending, do you think there will be another series? It was based on a novel wasn't it?

Mary: Sorry to hear you have vehicle repair issues. I hope it all works out just right. :flowerforyou:
Margaret: I hope your husband’s bid for public office goes well and that you’re both happy with the outcome, in the short term and the long run.
Sue & Rori: I’ve been taking one turmeric capsule daily for several years. The dose is 500mg per capsule. It sounds as though you had too high a dose for you, or that it just doesn’t sit well with your systems. If I was in your situation I’d think about having a rest from it and then trying later with a lower dose than you’ve been talking before now. If it still doesn’t sit well, I’d wave bye-bye forever. ((HUGS)))
Beth near Buffalo: I’m glad you’ve been able to bring your son home. It sounds like there is work ahead for you. I hope everything goes well.
DS, DDIL & DGS were hear for 8 days. I just put them on a jet heading to her mom’s house to pick up their dog, and then drive the rest of the way home. It was such a wonderful treat to have them here. I know they enjoyed the visit. I hope it is the beginning of many such visits.

Been busy settling in th this new leg of our RV adventures. This is going to be fun and as a bonus, good for us. We both are getting more exercise than we have in a long time!
I also went swimming today for the first time in years! The water is salty and I was amazed to see that I could tread water! Still only can swim on my back, but hey, small steps! Lol
Gotta go. Lots of campers coming in today for the holiday weekend.

Barbie: I am about to start knitting baby washcloths for DGS. I made six samples, and DDIL picked out her favorite. Now I’ll be doing the same one over and over until I run out of yarn or quit. I figure half a dozen will be a good start, and maybe enough or maybe she will need more. Knitting is a soothing activity in my experience. :flowerforyou:
NYKaren: I hope you give yourself some extra forgiveness when fatigue sneaks up on your preparations for the beginning of school.
I put DS, DDIL and our baby grandson on the jet for home. It was a wonderful visit and I hope to see more of them. That baby is a charmer.

Yep, I think it was based on a book. I kind of doubt it will be picked up for a second season, but it was entertaining!

I have been trying to figure out how to get home to see my own Mom who is in the manor, but now I think we need to get home for his mother as well. Not sure how I'll make this a reality. If we didn't have to pay any bills, we could actually do it!

A lot of places will be hiring part-time Christmas help soon. I know of a number of Canadians who do that so they can go on holiday somewhere warm in February, but it might work for you too.
