(sadly, I'm not even joking about any of those diagnoses. We just wish Uncle E was better at taking his meds. It's rather unsafe for a woman to approach him when his in one of the paranoid phases of his schizophrenia and hasn't been taking his meds

My dad and step mom used to give us a box of the cheapest chocolates they could find every year for Christmas (or so it seemed). I would pick one, take a small bite, throw it out, and repeat through the entire box. There is only so much waxy chocolate one person can eat.2 -

It's such a challenging illness. Some feel that the meds make them worse, which is why they stop taking them. Some turn to illegal drugs, because they think it makes them better (it doesn't). I know our homeless population is about 80% due to mental health issues. It's such a complex problem.

I just wish more people would understand what it's like for the relatives and stop trivializing mental health problems.

My love for carbs extend to my cats. I break off pieces of bread or muffins and they eat it. Small pieces, I realize they are primarily keto. I don't judge them.6

Well. He eats most of it, one of the cats eats parts of it
