Do you weigh meat before or after cooking for this program. Or beef is 6oz before but 4 oz after cooking - which do I enter as? Thanks

I weigh things how I am going to eat them.
I cook then weigh.
Not sure that's the right way but it seems logical to me.0 -
Weigh then cook unless it is specifically an entry for something already cooked

There's entries in the MFP database for both cooked and uncooked products, so for the most part, it doesn't matter much.
The only thing which I weigh uncooked is pasta, and if I am baking a mixed vegetable tray, I will usually weigh those raw as well, add them all and portion the outcome. All the rest go in the diary as I'm going to eat them.0 -
I find before is more accurate weighed raw and YES the loss in size is sad. I find the entries in MFP for raw is closer to accurate (or if you google online for weight) as how you cook it will impact weight (ex: how well done).0
