I have the thought of throwing the scale out the window too! Man this is a frustrating process at times. I have been hovering between 179-182 for about 2 months now. I know I need to step up the eating habits and the activity level but I am really struggling doing so!

I had a long talk with hubby last night about his lack of working on the craft items for the craft fairs we have coming up. I told him I won't sign up for anymore if he would just do enough to get us through the ones I have already paid for. He then sounded incredulous that I'm not going to sign up for anymore. "Why wouldn't you sign up for more, that's how we paid for Christmas last year? It helped us a lot?" I told him I didn't think he was interested in it. He promised me he would start tonight and told me to sign up for more shows.

He is the artist and designer. He woodburns the ornaments and then I paint and finish them. I can't do my part without him doing his. I hope we get a lot done this week, my first show is next Friday and it's a 3 day event.

snowflake - too cute! we just got our tickets to the local Christmas Gift & Hobby Show. made me think of you and wonder how far along you were with your stuff now. I guess your post answers all my questions! LOL

Am at work at satellite office today. No heat here either! :( Am drinking a lot of hot tea and have my coat on to stay warm. Hope they get this fixed in both offices by the time super cold weather hits! Again, hoping this bumps up metabolism.

Did fine on calorie count last night. Got at least 1.5 miles in too. Not going to have time to run/walk tonight due to phys therapy appointment.

DH leaves tomorrow for Jeep Jamboree. Work would not let me take tomorrow off, so I wont go down until late Thursday night. Am bummed I have to drive all that way by myself. Hope DH and JH (good friend I call my Jeep husband) pick good trails to run and dont pick some super difficult thing that will break stuff.

    Lurking (and shivering) from work!

    CW - 161
    HW - 215
    GW - 150

Ended up with 2 orders, yesterday. Not great but not bad. Again, last 2 months have been really good... thanks to Gma Christmas shopping... so, I am not too bummed... keeping my party open to help my friend earn half price or FREE stuff... that's always a huge bonus!

Very sad that new girl will be leaving us this month. Yup... already... her hubby took a job in the city (2 1/2 hrs away... near my hometown) so, she goes where hubby goes... she fit in so well, so it is quite disappointing...a girl was supposed to job shadow, yesterday... never called or showed up... why apply then? Another girl that works here, is on the verge of losing her job. She's been here since January and I don't think she's gone an entire week, without missing at least 1 day...I worked with her, many years ago, she was exactly the same... guess some people just never grow up (she's 34) really makes it rough on the rest of us... someone always has to cover for her... and, if we have an emergency, we can't really miss cuz she's never here. Very frustrating! She's been warned, don't think she truly cares....

    Hey all!

Weekend was hard for me. Sad and difficult anniversaries. Tried to “be good”, but since I couldn’t seem to manage that, was very, very bad.

I did finish my race, though. So that was something. @LanaCabana537 Спасибо! Spasibo! (Thank you) for the congratulations in Russian. It was good to get picks of one of my most beloved cities.

@Twiley510 What tests helped discover your issues? My new doctor is a DO, which gives her a bit more insight to how my chronic back pain can effect other things a bit better than an MD. However, every single test she has run to try and help figure out some of my health issues returns as negative or in normal range. The last time I was just as miserable and my doctor tried to help figure out why with tests and specialist visits, it was the exact same thing. The symptoms sound as if it could be X. So they test for X, but results state that X is now ruled out. Every time. I can’t even describe my fury at this. My body quickly becomes immune to medications, so I have taken several antidepressants from every classification. Sleep meds have never helped my insomnia and no amount of sleep hygiene has helped. I feel like an anomaly. And that seems to make my depression worse... just not having answers ever and the answers that work for everyone else with my complaints never work for me. People like to feel special, but this kind of special is for the birds. No offense to the birds or anything.

My changes to diet and exercise are significant and the result seems to be nil. Maybe age, maybe hormones, but definitely adding to my level of overall frustration as I review my facts and progress today.

As they say, tomorrow’s another day.

I just want to give you a hug. I have no great words of wisdom to help though unfortunately.

    @RunaMarti

I felt the same way for most of my life. Tests would come back normal. Even if the tests came back abnormal, nothing was ever done (ie never had a normal pap smear, always had to have biopsy, diagnosed with cervical cancer. Treatment plan: "We'll wait to see what happens.")

My holistic practitioner did an extensive blood panel including six thyroid levels not normally checked by MDs, all vitamin and mineral levels, hormone levels for all organs, and an inflammation panel. Additionally, she performed a blood-reactive food sensitivity panel to further eliminate any aggressors toward my autoimmune issues. All test results were provided to me so I can do my own research on the levels. She encourages patients to take charge of their own health.

One caveat regarding the thyroid panel, most of my levels were "within range". My practitioner is more of a symptom based provider. She said if I don't feel well at these levels, they need to be adjusted and prescribed supplements and hormones accordingly. Sometimes, it depends on the knowledge level of the practitioner and their willingness to try adjustments based on how you feel.

    WEDNESDAY

    Good morning,

Good point Twiley, many pcp are using statistics to base their judgments- glad you have a practitioner who is willing to be flexible.

QOTD: What new food have you discovered since you started eating better?

    AOTD; Butternut squash

Spent time last night thinking of the food I no longer eat and wish I could, food I no longer eat and dont miss, and the food I started to eat when I started WW.

Oatmeal ready, need to move along. Lurking from work.

Wave to all who follow. Midweek we can get to Friday.

    Hello all! Happy Wednesday.
Lurking and trying to stay awake here. I did stay up too late watching the Brewers lose ): Today another game another chance.
Arniedog - what type of job do you do. Sounds rough trying to keep people. Stress at work is never good when one is trying to lose weight. stress anywhere really.
Runa - sorry and yes - today is another day!
Snowflake- great job on the painting. Good luck with the hubby motivation!
    Will continue lurking.

AOTD - I am such a fussy eater that I struggle trying new foods at all. One thing that I like now though that I didn't eat before is a salad variation that a friend of mine made. She used a raspberry vinaigrette dressing on it, that I don't like so don't use. It is just cucumber, tomato and feta cheese. I use the Kraft crumbled feta in the bag.

Lynn - I work in a Vet Clinic... part of the problem, is so many people don't seem to actually want to work. Other problem, I work with almost all women..1 male Dr... and, we all know how caddy some women can be. That is part of the reason why my friend quit. The new girl had no idea her hubby would be taking this job in another city, or she would never have applied. But, gotta do what you gotta do. I'm a sticker, so I stay. I love my job. Just do struggle with the women at times...

Since 2010 I have worked in offices that are all male. It is refreshing to work with them rather than gossipy women. I just had to learn different sports and cars so I could hold conversations with them LOL

Hey all. Saw your posts and had to butt my way in here lol. This is like my 500th time starting over and could really use some new friends. Haven't been seriously on here in a couple years and all the friends I used to have are long gone. The groups I was a member of are dead. I really want this to be my last time. I'm sick of it.

    Good evening,

Veno- this is an open thread no need to feel like you are butting in - stop by and post when you can.

Hiding painted rocks in parking lot has attracted attention and so there is one out there right now....

What to do for Christmas? Do not want to feed the hungry/homeless as my world feels a little too close to that, and I donate my time knitting all year long. I am asking people about good Chinese food places as they tend to be open......

Long day and Sup will be doing half day tomorrow and off Friday, wish I had her time off to use.

Strata in toaster oven but hoping for a quiet night. Wishing all a good evening.

    * on comfy couch with Lana venting.

My team is mostly male. only one other female. i feel like a mother hen for most of them! considering how different the personalities are, we get along & work together amazingly well.

my previous job was almost all female and they could get mean! am pretty happy where I am right now (other than the lack of PTO, that is!)

didnt walk/run today so i could get home and get packed for trip tomorrow. laundry finishing up now. not looking forward to the drive but excited about the offroading!

AOTD - discovered broccoli slaw, sliced brussel sprouts, nuts, and dried fruit (like cranberries) add a huge flavor boost to salad greens. dont even need dressing with all that stuff in there!
