My primary care physician was even surprised (I’m close to 90lbs down now) and asked me how I did it since I was so far from where I was 8 years ago when they put that on my medical record. Grit, sweat, tears, perseverance, and habits! It was awesome having a doctor comment on my weight as a positive. I’m still not quite to healthy BMI, but it was encouraging to hear the doctor tell me that I was almost there.
For the FIRST time, my weight wasn’t the ghost elephant in the room. And oddly, after leaving my appointment, I realized that my doctor hadn’t even really thought about my weight. Not in any way that mattered and certainly not as a barrier of concern that eclipsed my actual ailment that prompted the appointment.
It felt good.
(But, ngl, like a dork, I totally weighed myself in several outfits to make sure to get the lowest reading. XD)
I totally do the same thing before my doctors appointments! 😂 No shame!!!7 -

It's a really good feeling to visit the docs and not feel them looking at you and thinking 'if you just lost some weight you'd not be in pain/ feeling poorly etc etc' I am fortunate and rarely go but when I did, they always said 'hop on the scales' - when I went last month they didn't weigh me!
Your weight loss is so impressive and you are so nearly there - Yahoo!9 -
I moved long distance last week & as a result of the upheaval/stress over the past couple of months, my logging has been lacklustre to say the least! It appears that I may have put on 1-2lb (can't be certain as I normally weigh daily & have no idea if it's fat or water or what yet) which is an NSV itself....logging has clearly taught me moderation & I was so pleased to unpack my kitchen scales!
Yesterday I was in the supermarket & my favourite biscuits were on offer. An elderly lady was beside me looking & them, commenting how cheap they were compared to normal.
I said I couldn't resist a pack but really should as I could happily eat the whole thing! 😁
She said "Och, you could do worse than a wee biscuit & with your figure you can afford to have as many as you like!"
If she'd have seen me 6+ stone heavier last year she'd have thought differently I'm sure!
Will never get used to comments from strangers but this one had wonderful timing. The derailment was inevitable but getting back on must take priority ✌️

It's technically 158.1 but this calculator doesn't like fractions, so I'm taking it! No longer obese!

Yesterday was the fist time someone at work commented on my weight loss.

I can't remember if I posted about this already, however:
Last year I made myself a Christmas skirt and it fit perfectly. Today I'm taking it in by about two inches around the waist.32 -
6 high planks. I have never NEVER been able to do a plank before and wow...6 high planks. 30 sec each26

I need to learn how to sew, at least for basic things like taking clothes in. My very favorite dress is getting loose, as I haven't been at this weight in several years, and I don't want to give the dress up.10 -

Starting to? I think they are quite defined. Nice job.8 -
Been working on my squat form for several months. The trainer observed my last set of 5 today. He said "You were parallel or lower on every rep". I still have to concentrate on getting down there, but it's getting easier.15

I hear that! I have some good quality shirts that are loose now. It would be nice if they fit properly.

Kind of a NSV, kind of a question, does it get any less sore sitting on seats after a while? I used to be very overweight and sitting on seats was uncomfortable because I stuck forward too far or found arms tight. But now my seat bones are getting sore. I'm in the middle of the healthy BMI range so not emaciated. Does this improve with time?12

I landed a new job in May and had to get a new suit for the occasional client meeting I would be attending. I haven’t had to wear it for maybe three months though, and after losing about 25 lbs I tried on the jacket because I have a client meeting tomorrow and it was a little - baggy. So that’s nice, but I wish I’d lost this weight before I shelled out $200 for suit pants/jacket20

Whaaat? Your face on your picture, that's only a 25 lbs difference?6 -

Learning to sew was one of the things I'm so grateful I actually paid attention to at school. It's seriously saved me so much with me gaining and then losing weight. And the fact that I'm a shorty and love wearing trousers so it's always taking them up o'clock.5 -
I actually fit into a size 14 dress (US) and didn't even remotely look like an overstuffed sausage. I was pleasantly surprised! Bought it and am going to wear it for my date with hubby on Saturday!30

I find that it does improve a little with time. When I initially reached my goal range after losing 100+ I remember that being an issue for me. Not sure if it gets better or your body just adjusts to it, but 4 years later I don't notice it nearly as much. I remember the tight arms thing, it is weird to sit in a chair with arms and my own arms are no longer touching the arms, much less hanging over. I always thought at 5'8" with wide hips it was more because I was a big lady rather than my weight. It was my weight!11 -
Today I noticed a t-shirt hung from my chest without touching my stomach. It's always been the big stomach sticking out... I have no memory of the last time - if ever - that I experienced this. It was a brief moment that had a surprisingly emotional affect on me.36

Ha! No. It’s about a 115 lb difference. I went from about 370 to 230 from 2016 to 2017, but since then went from about 230 to 270 from 2017 to 2018, now down another 20-25 lbs since this summer.
