Getting healthy now!

54 yr old married Dad of 2 great kids. My goal is to lose 75 lbs this year. I am committing to MFP-tracking daily food and exercise. I do Orange Theory and will go 3 x a week and on other 3 days do at least 50 minutes of cardio or other exercise. I'm also committing to 6 months of no alcohol which will help as well. I am 5'11 and 265 currently and want to be 190 by end of year. I have said "I'll start again fresh after the weekend" too many times. I need to do this for my health and happiness. I also want to show my wife and kids that I can do this! Any feedback or suggestions....greatly appreciated. I like the community feel of MFP and I am better off being accountable to myself. Starts now! Thanks!

    Glad you're finally getting into it...sometimes, you just have to jump in there and do it. 75 pounds in a year/ 6 pounds a month sounds like a good goal. Good luck :smiley:
