I'm jumping back in starting today. I just logged back in after a long absence. I had total knee replacement surgery in October after I took a fall in June so movement is still a little limited but I'm determined! I was down to 190 but I've gained since my fall. Drat!

I was feeling kind of down and out because I did jump on the scale today. I understand that a lot of what I "gained" is water weight/retention. I know my body is healing from the surgery but I am not one of those people to just sit on my *kitten* and not do anything. Instead of moping all day, I decided to put together a photo collage again of my progress from January 2018-January 2019. I hope this helps somebody today; I know it did for me. About 80 pounds down and only 40 pounds to go! lwdui8ium8ep.jpg

    Wow! Well done. 😊
You look good and you don't look as if you still have another 40 pounds to go. You can do this. 👍
    Good luck with the recovery.

Thank you!! My doctor and I have been discussing what would be an appropriate goal. We are shooting for 135-140 however will re-evaluate at 160.

I am trying to give myself grace through this whole thing (surgery, exercising, eating, etc.) If I mess up a couple of days here and there or don't get things exactly right, it is okay. There is always tomorrow, the next day, and the day after to begin anew.

With the recent surgery, I am going to have to find a new motivator for some of this weight loss. Part of the reason I was losing the weight was because my husband and I wanted a child naturally. Since I am no longer able to do this, I am going to have to re-evaluate that part of my motivation.

Ultimately, I am doing this for me, but I would be dishonest with myself if I did not say a good 45% of this was due to the above reason.

@besmith11 , oh girl you are having a hard time. I don't have anything to say, except that my heart goes out to you. Look after yourself, and concentrate on getting over the surgery first before looking too far ahead. I'm sure we are all wishing you all the best. 🤗

    Starting Weight: 260 - 118.18 kgs (January 2018)
    CW: 185.8 lbs. (84.45 kgs)
    GW: 140 (63.63 kgs)
    Challenge Weight: 179 (81.36 kgs)

    January 12th: 184.6 (Loss of 1.2 lbs)
    January 20th: 182.6 (Loss of 2 lbs.)
    January 27th: 187.2 (Gain--kind of--4.6 lbs.)
    February 3rd: 187.0 (Loss of .2 lbs.)

I know I am still retaining quite a bit of water as my body heals fully from my surgery. I am okay with the "gain". I figured this would happen. Along with changing the way of eating for me because my husband doesn't feel comfortable cooking definitely contributed to the water retention. I should be able to report a loss here soon. :) I am trusting the process.

Thank you everyone for all of your support recently. I appreciate it. I feel 100 times better and should be able to do some Leslie Sansone walking videos. What is exciting though is my husband is going to look into getting a family membership to the YMCA here which means we can spend more time doing things together other than watching the television. I am so excited!

Another week with another group of amazing results well done everyone.

I have had a ton of changes in the last two weeks and it has really affected my, weight wise I am over my maintenance range which is disappointing. I am going to go back to a slight control over what I am eating to bring it back in xx
