I won a photoshoot at Walmart and went. And I like the photos. I said I was uncomfortable with my tummy but she choose great poses! This is quite a victory for me to be body positive as I slim down.

Some time last year, I bought a used Airwalker at an estate sale. I'd been looking for a cheap treadmill, but this looked like a suitable substitute, and it was only $20.00. A couple weeks ago, I actually set the silly thing up in a place where I can use it. According to the readout on the machine, over the last 2 weeks I've worked off 4800 calories, including 800 the past three days. Now, I have no idea if those numbers are actually accurate, but at least it's something. And today, I auditioned for a play I've been wanting to do for about 30 years, and someone I hadn't seen in a few months remarked how much weight I've lost.

I have high hopes to get the part I want in this one. Stay tuned!

I've given up all caffeinated drinks and have started drinking only water! My blood pressure went back to normal!

My clothes are fitting nicer and hanging off of my body properly. I don't feel suffocated by my T-shirts anymore, as they are hanging looser. I am about to start my time of month, and I am not bloated the way I was before! Also, family is saying they can already see it in my face and stomach. I have lost 9 pounds so far! I still have about 40 to go, but I am seeing massive results in a short time by calorie counting, cardio and lifting heavy

I ordered a warm puffer jacket in a fitted style, and I happened to take it out to try on when my whole family was standing near me. When I held the jacket up, I thought it looked small. I was really hoping I wouldn't have to return it. Then my dad looked over and said "That looks a bit small doesn't it?" I didn't say anything, just put the jacket on. It fit perfectly, even over a bulky shirt. My family said it looked great. Ha! I wonder if I look as small as the jacket to other people?

Lots of folks mention here that it takes them a while to mentally adjust to their smaller size. "Who is that little(r) person in the mirror?" True for me, too.

Not my NSV, my fiancé’s...

I drug him along on my weight loss journey, he was hesitant to join me at first and “cheated” a lot. But after the first couple months he finally gave in and joined me full force.

Well we were leaving a college basketball game the other night, in a big crowd. I had walked in front of him. I turned around to find him so we didn’t get separated and I couldn’t find him. It took a few seconds of scanning the people around me to come to the realization...... He was right next to me. I was looking for a heavier guy 😂. Apparently loved ones’ brains change slow too.

Truth - I know what size fit me, but I still pick up the right size, hold it up, think it will be too small - but it isn't when I try it on. Stupid brain

I fit perfectly into a jacket I bought the first time I lost weight. I never thought I could be at a weight where I'd be able to wear it again. For some reason I had it in my head that, even with effort, I'd eventually settle in the 160's (and not fit into the jacket), which was still obese for me. Brains are weird sometimes.

In the last 3-4 days, I'm starting to see convincing mirror evidence in the morning that the fat around my waist is starting to evaporate. Not ready to claim victory but I've crossed a new paradigm and am within 4 lbs. of my initial goal weight. It's only a matter of time before I share some photos. To others who share here and other posts with photos, thanks for sharing and the inspiration.

Finally feeling some movement. After the last 2 weeks seriously feeling like I might have to go back up a notch on the belt, I finally and feeling loose on the buckle again. Today I'm actually able to pull past the hole and and back again considering punching a new hole.

Will be leaving that a couple of weeks at least, and hopefully my scales will catch up (not had significant moment in that regard for some time)

Just back from a 22-mile bike bike which was bitterly cold due to northerly wind and troublesome due to idiots in cars who think a) that they have right of way regardless of which side of the road they are on and b) that the horn fitted to their cars is primarily there to frighten the life out of cyclists - yes, Mr. Idiot-in-a-car, I do have functional ears and do actually know when you are right behind me. I do not need to know the tone or pitch of your horn, thank you - but I digress!

So, on this ride I clocked up my 11,000th mile on this bike (well, actually, 11,015th mile).

And got back to find an email stating that I've been accepted on a course to become a bike ride leader. This is slightly scary (new people, eek!) slightly exciting (because it's about cycling and getting others out on bikes) and slightly annoying (clashes with Parkrun).

More exciting than anything though

I'm a high school teacher. So far, I've lost 27 pounds, down from 297 peak. Walking down the hall, a student I had last year walked up to me today and said, "I don't want you thinking I'm checking you out, but I swear you're shrinking!"

I can see my you know

without bending over too much, easier to bend over too. more energy, my tummy is shrinking and the stretch marks are going back in on themselves which is a victory to me

I braved week 4 day 1 of c25k yesterday. Week 4 has always frightened me a little, it's the first week where the walk segments are less than the jog segments. And the first 5 minute jog. I made it without giving up. Yes it was turtle pace, but the important thing is I didn't decide it was too hard and just walk the rest of the way.
This morning was back to week 3, trying to keep my speed at or above 8km/h. Dropped under a couple of times but pushed myself to get back up there. Feeling pretty accomplished this morning.
Also- a scale victory, it after 2-3 weeks being stuck at 97.something, the scales finally dropped to 96.05 yesterday. I knew that a big loss was coming after the stall so just kept at it.
