    Plus lack of available options in my area. And I'm too tall. And I want an actual relationship, not a hook up. I think I'm just undateable.

    Hook up culture is SO annoying! You would think it's only reserved for the late teens/early 20's crowd. Nowadays, the older crowd is doing it as well. :(

    I got married for the first time when I turned 60. I had chosen to be single - didn't want kids, had started my own business, preferred my independence, liked to travel alone, and seemed to intentionally pick men who felt the same way. I was perfectly happy and content....

    So now we are about to celebrate our 4th anniversary. I won't lie - it has been a bit of a difficult adjustment for me. But fortunately my husband is very patient and appreciates my independent spirit. He was married twice before - so he's a pro at it -makes up for my ineptness. LOL. Life is just so weird and unpredictable.... :smiley:

    Because I love myself more than I love being lied to and cheated on. There are good men out there. I just don't seem to run into a lot. If it happens, it happens. If not, I'm fine alone.

    I never learned the social skills, growing up, that others took for granted. Tbh, I never really knew that till recently. I did know something was wrong, and that nobody was able to understand my sense of humor. But I didn't realize that it was because of a lack of social skills.

    I am learning them now, but its proving to be harder then you'd think. At this point in my social development, I don't have the skills to maintain a romantic relationship. I might be able to form one, but understanding why the other person does what they do, and trying to show my own feelings to them would probably leave me frustrated and annoyed.
