I just paid $16.50 to have a pair of new jeans hemmed up. The jeans cost $17.99.
The down side of losing weight, new pants, but I'll live with that.0 -
Today is day 50 of logging! That has gone really quick! Here are some of my NSV:
- I went from 6.7km/h sprints to 7.2km/hr sprints in C25K. I am on Week 2 - but I am keeping myself there due to ITB issues in my right leg and 90sec run/2min walk feels right at this time.
- Up to 3.5km in 30 mins in C25K
- a *kitten*load stronger - I can see definition!
- Love my PT sessions
- Loving and rediscovering nature through hiking
- I feel lighter, clothes fit better
- I am kinder to myself. And I feel so much happier15 -
My husband and I bumped into a friend we hadn't seen in a couple of years. He started talking to my husband and not to me, although he kept giving me glances. It felt very strange. Then I realized he didn't recognize me! Sure enough once I said something out loud and he heard my voice his facial expression changed and he greeted me normally.27

Agreed! I went through this the last time I lost a lot of weight. This time around I’ve been finding good deals on dress pants on Amazon. For years when I was overweight I avoided dress pants because it’s easier to “pretend” you wear a smaller size when you buy dresses with empire waists and skirts with elastic waists. Also I hated having to spend money on larger sized pants. So silly! I’m an elementary school teacher so it feels good to wear pants to work again!
Just to be clear though I’m of course not suggesting that you should avoid pants if you are overweight! That was just my own crazy insecurity!0 -

Yeah, it’s a good problem to have... I was actually talking about getting a wedding dress altered and the quotes I’ve gotten so far scare me. So I want to be excited with this problem, but I’m not. Haha2 -
We got our group pictures that were taken by a hired photographer back. First time in a while that I thought I looked super cute in a picture that I didn't take myself. I never really thought I looked ugly before, but it was more of a "you look fine, but you need to lose some weight" thought.17

You all are so inspiring! I keep losing and regaining the same 5ish pounds and Im frustrated but my NSV is coming back and reading all the posts and feeling myself ready to recommit, thank you!16

I guess my biggest NSV is getting back on the bandwagon after 6 months of slacking. Losing some of the same weight over, but I'll get there. And the great part is it's SO much easier to get started this time around.19

I made it two weeks with no alcohol.
It is flu-induced, so it feels like cheating, but between that and legit weight loss in the new year, I've maxed out all of my belts. I can't pull them tight enough.
I fit into my old Oregon polo.
Our custodian, Gustavo, told me I look skinny. I'll take it.21 -
I tracked consistently for 10 day! Whooo hooo!!23

I no longer pull my seatbelt out all the way when I get in the car20

A girl I super admire for her strength at the gym complimented me on my weight loss. I might have fan-girled a little.29

Just changed my profile picture to reflect the fact that I hit my original goal weight (though I revised it down a touch) and now find myself mentally focused not on losing but on recomping and other fitness goals.25

You know I always wondered about that! When I first joined MFP and uploaded that I actually put out a general call to my contacts to ask if it was too much but nobody said anything at the time7 -

Good job on the coke! But mostly I wanted to say that your profile pic makes me laugh [/quote]
The picture was taken when we went on our first cruise this past April. That was the first towel animal that was left in our room. Had to take a picture with it. 😁5 -
Day 1 of week 5 c25k this morning! And it was nowhere near as hard as I was expecting it to be 😁17

I'm starting to see a tiny bit of definition in my biceps!17
