A good friend has been wanting to exercise, but has been having trouble getting started, so we set up a lifting sessions two nights a week at my house. Just did our first one last night and it went really well.
I’m excited to share my love of lifting with a friend and this made me clean out that area of the garage and actually use my home gym again!13 -
Work is doing a snack run and I didn't ask for anything because I already knew I generally can't fit it into my day. I was tempted though, lol.19

My NSV involves a hotel towel. At home I have big towels so they always wrap around me. I travel for work and hate hotel towels because they're small. Today I thought, ok let's try this and I wrapped the towel around my body. There was enough towel to tuck it in and the guess what - NOTHING was exposed! No thigh, no tummy, nothing. I was so excited it's a little sad, but I'll take the victories where I can get them.35

I was able to do 4 unassisted pull-ups, in a row for I think the first time ever. 208lbs is a lot to pull.21

That is like, the BEST feeling. There's nothing comfy like a towel that wraps nicely. Makes you feel luxurious.7 -
I got up the nerve to do my first (barbell) deadlifts at the gym yesterday. I'd been mainly on the machines up to this point, but working my way gradually over to the free weight area.21

This one is a little different, but I had a guy recently turn me down after leading me on for a while, and instead of turning to food for comfort like I used to, I went for a run and lifted weights after and felt amazing!
Time to show him what he missed.39 -
I realized I could walk with my legs closer together?! It was weird.18

I stayed on track this weekend with keeping my diary going even when I had booze, I tracked it all!!23

I have a weeklong trip coming up and am spending it in a hotel. I will eat out some, but I don't want to a lot because all the salt makes it difficult to sleep. There's a Trader Joe's nearby, so I made a grocery list! I learned a lot from my last trip what worked when all you have is a microwave and a refrigerator, so pre-planning makes me feel a lot better.26

I bought a running top in a large rather than an XL.
Mental nsv because the fabric is that horrible clingy stuff that is perfect for running but moulds itself to your stomach so when you look down it's like a stack of tyres
Bought it anyway because the XL I thought was too big round arms and would rub. Wore it Sunday with my new running backpack. Checked with gf I didn't look too ridiculous. She did a triple take and said she thought it was the most fitted thing she had ever seen me in and I looked the slimmest she had ever seen me.
Really made me think I may one day get past the 'if I can feel it, it is too tight' view on clothes.28 -

Thanks! I did 5x5 at 60 pounds. Hopefully not too embarrassingly low a starting weight.6 -

NSV: On two occasions today, I was able to take a small flight of stairs one step at a time, the way everybody else does, instead of having to two-foot every individual stair and wait to catch my balance. Husband and I went on another nature hike. There was a trail he had always wanted to explore, but couldn't because I was with him, and I couldn't walk that far. Today he got to do it. I didn't *quite* make it all the way to the end of the trail, but I made it far enough where I could sit on a bench and wait for him to finish.37
