Missed last week - cant remember why now - and was very dippy today.

    Forgot:
Money - had to go back home (that’s twice up the grrrr-ing hill on my bike)
My latest lap counting/stroke and drill instructing pneunomic - decided it was Felafel (but have just checked and it was actually Focaccia)
How to spell Felafel - and so confused myself that i lost count anyway. (Er - is it felaffel?!)
How to tell the time - i had set myself a 30 mins time limit, but then translated this to 20 past as get out time (er no, 10 past)

Thankfully my head is still surgically attached to my body.

So 800m-1000m ish in 35 mins or so -and frankly little danger of me getting cramp (!) ....but I went, I swam, I biked.

And I particularly enjoyed my ‘mermaid’ laps (butterfly legs only).

Have a good week of swimming everyone.

Yeppers. Short swim after lifting. Empty pool during spring break. I wish I’d had the energy for more.

    2.2km before work this morning.
Had to take a full rest day yesterday, again.
Lung congestion from allergies flared up again. Lots of mucus. I got a small taste of what my wife does through with bronchiactasis.
When I swam Saturday, I felt weak. Couldn't do 4/5 strokes per breath.
Felt better when I put on the Speedo snorkel.
Today was almost back to normal.

Held myself to 5 5km after work yesterday. Felt like I could do my full 6.6km but decided not to push it. Still 7.7km for the day.
2.2 km before work today. Back after work for second swim.
I only swim during my last week of a trip. I don't want sore muscles for the flight back on Friday.

40 minutes before the brutal Monday cardio class. Bam! Feeling strong (even if I’m the one in class who starts out looking exhausted, and remains that way...) 😬💪

I swam for five minutes this evening, enough for coach to give tips on my freestyle catch and my dolphin kick.

On such a fine spring day in the Pacific Northwest, I rode my bike at 3 pm. The ride included 12 miles on a rough chip sealed road--past rides on the road improved long before the 12 mile mark (today, it just didn't get better) I found an alternate return route on the smooth, wide shoulder of US101 all the way into Hoquiam.

Tired and rattled, I still went to the pool, hoping for something less than another workout. I got great tips.

    Cheers!

Been battling a lung infection from pollen allergy congestion.
Managed just 2.2km in the morning the last few days. By the afternoon I have been feeling somewhat breathless.
I'll be home soon and can go to the doctor for antibiotics if needed.

Some days you feel weak; some days, full of vigor. Today, for me, I felt like I was really pulling myself through and over the water on some 25 butterfly. Doing six 25s of dolphin kick on my side likely helped a bit.

Almost feel asleep at the wheel at 60 mph-- it so terrified me to realize I did a long 5 second blink that I pulled over within two minutes to take twenty in the Burger King parking lot. I have to take a nap to stay awake. I'm turning into a cat

@kayak4water Smart choice to pull over and grab a nap. I live in northern Canada and 5-6 hr drives are the normal thing when traveling. Like you I stop at places that offer facilities and a secure spot to get a few winks in, ironically Hotel Parking lots are the best during the day, quiet with very little traffic, good access.

Had 2 swim work outs this week with the "Adult Swim Club" which has turned into a virtual private coaching session since 2 couples went to Cuba for a 2 week vacation, 1 has a new job and is in the process of moving and the other regular member alternates swim sessions with his wife ( child care management ) and April is her turn. Technically she is in the group below me and the only one in that group this sesssion.
    2 Athlete's & 2 coach's = Intense 1hr workouts ~ 1800 > 2500meters.
