We 03/04: 165.8: Goals: β Busy day, but managed to fit my exercise in early
Th 04/04: 165.4: Goals: β 'Free' day today, so worked on decluttering my craft room.
Fri 05/04: 166.0: Goals: β Final Boditrax assessment this afternoon. Good progress made. Reduced metabolic age to 62, increased muscle mass, reduced fat mass, so I am very happy. All my stats were improved.
Sa 06/04: 166.3: Goals: β granddaughter is home for a long weekend so we took advantage of the gorgeous spring weather to have a family day out. Lots of walking. Restaurant lunch, but made healthy choices, and drank lots of water to combat sodium.
Su 07/04: 166.4: Goals: β Felt out of sorts today, despite sensible choices at the restaurant yesterday.
Mo 08/04: 165.8: Goals: β Great day today. Unexpected after the weekend, but a nice little whoosh this morning. It will probably bounce back up tomorrow.
Tu 09/04: 165.8: Goals: β Delighted that I stayed down. I had a full day today, so had to walk when I got home late this evening to hit my step goal.
We 10/04: 166.2: Goals: β And thereβs the bounce back up again π π π What will tomorrow bring?
Th 11/04: 165.6: Goals: β ππ»ππ»ππ» ππΌ Didn't expect that. π Here's hoping it sticks tomorrow. Fitbit recorded 229 active minutes today!
Fri 12/04: 165.4 Goals: β Away for the long weekend. Logged as best as I could.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Goal for round 74 - drop 1 pound.
4/13 - 144.0. Uptick to start off, yuck. Wins yesterday: dog walk and an upper body weights circuit. Hydrated well. Tracked food. Went to bed early. Ate too many snacks in the evening though and went over my calorie goal. My daughterβs softball tournament is cancelled due to rain so hopefully that helps me stay on track with food during the day. We are attending a Bat Mitzvah this evening so my goal is to not go overboard there. I donβt know what the food situation will be but Iβm sure it will be delicious.
4/14 - 144.6. Not unexpected but I still hate to see it go up. Yesterday was my planned off day from the gym, and it coincided with a social event with food heavier than what I normally eat. And dessert π. So all was planned and I knew a higher number was possible. Also havenβt gotten enough sleep this weekend. Back on track today with a workout and tracking everything I eat.

Round three for me! We're in spring break at school and I have a lot on my calendar. We'll be celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, going to an MLB game, travelling to spend time with friends and their new baby, and gathering with family for Easter. This time, I'd like to average 100,000 steps for the ten days, so I'll need to add extra walking on days we're not driving. I'm not looking to actively lose weight this round, but I'd like to maintain my hard work from the last two rounds.

04/13 184.6 lb Holding steady! No workout yesterday due to a meeting that went long and unanticipated traffic on the way home. I had to get home to walk the pup! I tracked 11,415 steps. Take-out Thai food was dinner and I ate lightly throughout the day to not blow-out my calorie goals. I expect some sort of gain in the next couple of days due to planned events with high-calorie foods options.
04/14 184.6 lb Still looking good. I only tracked 5,150 steps yesterday so I'll need to take the dog out for a long walk later. We went out for lunch and it ended up being my only meal of the day and that allowed me to meet my calorie goals. Again, I'm anticipating a gain in the next couple of check-ins. We're heading to a baseball game this afternoon and I'm making a key lime pie for my boyfriend's birthday.

Scale went down another .2 Decided NOT to go to the fish fry and came home and worked out instead. Yay Me! Made ST Fish Sticks and roasted veggies for dinner and while cooking 2 oz of blueberry vodka then glass o wine while I stuck my feet in the amazing massager DH bought me for my bday last year. I am so blessed and feeling it. Have lunch out with friends today so already entered what I am going to have (carnitas tostada and only one at 288 cals - NO BEER) and sticking to it. Happy Saturday EVERYONE. Stay ON PLAN!

Not too bad considering our hosts last night added mashed potatoes and wine to the menu. I had a feeling so put in an extra workout and logged in the wine before I left. The taters were a complete surprise, but I barely had a 1/4 cup so YAY Me!

04/13 345.2 I was out of control with my sodium yesterday and a little over calories too. Add in that after I posted yesterday I pulled a few muscles in my leg and the water weight was inevitable. Iβm resting today and Iβm sure Iβll see it all drop off again in a few days.
04/14 344.2 First of what Iβm sure will be several drops as I have a lowish sodium week planned. If I stay on course I should be to close to 340 by end of round.

Hoping this round is as good as the last one! Going to be tough as away at daughters for a coupe of days followed by Easter weekend at the girls cheerleading competition so 4 nights staying away with eating out, socialising, hotel food and time on the road. 04/14 - 144.4lb (+0.1lb) OK with this - late dinner last night which was a carb heavier dinner than normal (home made chicken curry with rice and naan) but all within calories and macros for the day though. Big family Easter dinner this evening as we're away next weekend - don't intend to go mad but will treat myself to a glass of wine and a few chocolates and enjoy them

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

04/13 203.7, 4080 steps. Friday was a good day at work but I was totally exhausted by the end of it. We didn't go walking at lunch due to rain and then I was just too tired to go out and walk after I got home. Evening food choices weren't the best.
04/14 205.2, 7910 steps. Saturday was barn day. I only rode Spark this weekend. I met my step goal but eating was poor choices all day long. It's not surprising that my weight is up.
