I was really happy with last round and I’m continuing a few goals
Water! I get sloppy when it comes to water
Lower sodium
Keep up with walking, maybe I can hit another 5k steps
04/13 345.2 I was out of control with my sodium yesterday and a little over calories too. Add in that after I posted yesterday I pulled a few muscles in my leg and the water weight was inevitable. I’m resting today and I’m sure I’ll see it all drop off again in a few days.
04/14 344.2 First of what I’m sure will be several drops. I have a lowish sodium week planned. If I stay on course I should be to close to 340 by end of round.
04/15 343.4 And now a little below my round start weight. Hopefully I’ll see a little more loss over the next few days.

Day/Weight/Comment
This app has really been a problem the past few days. 😡
4/13 - 178 - 38g carbs, 32g net carbs. Carbs were: cauliflower, broccoli slaw, poppyseed dressing, fried chicken, au jus sauce.
4/14 - 177.6 - 40g carbs, 21g net carbs. Carbs were: keto seed porridge, fried chicken, pumpkin seeds, blueberry vanilla goat cheese, horseradish in tuna.
4/15 - 177.2 - 120g carbs, guessing. Visited grands, didn't take food with me for everyone. I think they were somewhat disappointed, since it seemed to be a scramble for food. Sub shop, ugh. My youngest son brought his birthday cake to celebrate with family. Carbs were: chicken tenders, a slice of the most delicious raspberry filled amaretto cake w/amaretto buttercream frosting. Yeah it was decadent. Worth every carb and calorie, but not worth the miserable stuffed feeling afterwards.

Thought it would be 169, but I shrunk, so 166 (normal BMI). Hit May 2018. Realized I needed to lose more.
Then set 155. Hit Thanksgiving Day 2018. Realized I needed to lose more.
I like 153 Much more than 155.
Ditto 151.2 more than 153.
Shooting for 150 now, gradually.
Exercising lots.

04/12 …..191.8….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
04/13 …..191.8 ….. Busy helping nieces with funeral arrangements for my sister. Doing this all long distance although I am getting some help from my local funeral home. Memorial services at a later date. Things will be hectic for the next few days. I don’t expect a lot of progress in my exercise or diet. Just trying to hang in there. But I wish everyone lots of luck this round!
04/14 ….. 192.0….. I am going to try to stick to plan today regardless of stress & busy schedule. It is, as always, a heavy work day for me on Sunday. I’m going to take it & run with it!
04/15 …..191.8 ….. I Tried hard yesterday in spite of it all. I had several days of grab & go immediately following my sister’s death. I also ate my emotions. Lots of mistakes like being too busy to eat dinner then bingeing later at night. I was back on track yesterday as my appetite was suddenly gone so it wasn’t difficult. Yesterday’s stats: 1036 Calories In / 2375 Calories Out. 9 Net Carbs. 11,202 Total Steps & 4.04 Total Miles. IF: 20:4 due to lack of hunger most of the day & evening. Charged fitbit so I am not sure about sleep time. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I took a 28 minute moderately paced walk. More arrangements today in Tennessee from Michigan. We are finalizing much of it today, I hope. I am electronically submitting pics etc for obituary etc. I have multiple cabins to clean here at home/work. Busy day today for me but staying busy helps during such grief. I hope to stay on plan though as best I can again with my eating & exercise. I just need a minute and I will work hard on making it as healthy a minute as possible. Thanks again to everyone for the hugs & luv.

04/13 153.5, had sushi (lent) and a lot of soy sauce, no idea how much salt was in that until I saw this number since is higher than I was all last week. I love weighing every day since I’m not freaked out by this number and know it will be gone soon
04/14 152.6, happy to see a lot of the salt is gone. Hopefully will resist temptation at dinner time tonight to end the weekend lighter than I started
04/15 152.4, so close to seeing a 151.x number this round. My TOM will be mid week so just going to make sure I’m hydrated and avoid fried foods. Going to a basic cardio and strength class that’s held once every few months for beginners. Those types of classes always intimidate me, but figured a beginning one should be good.

Scale went down another .2 Decided NOT to go to the fish fry and came home and worked out instead. Yay Me! Made ST Fish Sticks and roasted veggies for dinner and while cooking 2 oz of blueberry vodka then glass o wine while I stuck my feet in the amazing massager DH bought me for my bday last year. I am so blessed and feeling it. Have lunch out with friends today so already entered what I am going to have (carnitas tostada and only one at 288 cals - NO BEER) and sticking to it. Happy Saturday EVERYONE. Stay ON PLAN!

Not too bad considering our hosts last night added mashed potatoes and wine to the menu. I had a feeling so put in an extra workout and logged in the wine before I left. The taters were a complete surprise, but I barely had a 1/4 cup so YAY Me!

@deepwoodslady Big hugs to you. You're going through so much, and maybe you can allow a diet break for one week? On another thread (might have been a sticky), I read an article about how taking a deliberate, scheduled diet break is essential for this process. Eating at maintenance levels for 1-2 weeks helps anyone at any level. Researchers found that dieters were easily able to return to their former eating plan after a scheduled break, but went off the rails if it was unplanned. I am doing this for 1 week while on vacation.
Just a thought- please be gentle with yourself if you don't stick to your plan fully over the upcoming week.

***VACATION ROUND***Round 74 (my 4th)***
10 DAY GOALS: Planning to (1) log everything carefully over the next 10 days with maintenance range 1700 or fewer calories (2) 12-hour fast most days (3) Try to boost TDEE with small daily movements to achieve 2000 steps daily (I'm disabled and I often get less than 1000 per day)

Round 71 SW 157.8 EW 155.4 (-2.4 lbs)
Round 72 SW 155.4 EW 153 (-2.4 lbs)

Total challenge lost after 3 rounds: 4.2 lbs
UGW: 123
GW for this round: *Maintenance of current wight* 153-155
To aid in my maintenance goal this week while enjoying my vacation (admittedly, a food-centered one in a special place I haven't been to for over a decade where I'll be headed to some of my all-time favorite restaurants, AND there will be a birthday party), I am experimenting with calorie 'banking'- purposely eating fewer calories for a few days in order to have more in the 'bank' for other days. Over the course of the week, it should even out to 1700 max a day, my maintenance calories.

04/13 153.6 Same weight for days, and that's fine, since my goal this round is simple: maintain, don't gain! Walked a lot yesterday (for me), 4616 steps, and met my calories perfectly.
04/14 152 Maddeningly, the scale kept fluctuating between 151.7 and 152, but I'm thrilled it's lower! I've been IFing for a while (16:8) and yesterday, I was starving in the morning, which is atypical. After having the usual coffee and water, the hunger wasn't subsiding one bit, so I opened my eating window early and didn't feel guilty at all, nor did I go overboard- trying out this intuitive eating thing in baby steps over the course of this long journey.
04/15 152.8 **Banking calories for vacation** Did fine yesterday for a Sunday. A fast food meal but ordered from kids menu and did well otherwise.

Yesterday: 🚶♀️🏃♀️🥊🧘🍫🍷
This round is going to be tough. Two weekends including Easter, when I'll be going back to London to pack up our house for the move while catching up with friends and a desperately needed date night with DH.
I'm reinstating some moderate goals, but left some out that I know I won't be managing this round.

Sat 04/13 71.5kg - 🚶♀️13k🍷 2300+cals in, 650 fitbit adjust, 8-900over
Picking up new car, yay! Steps will probably be quite low today, 2hr train ride to car, meet SIL and a couple of friends for lunch, then 2.5hr drive back home, dinner out...
Sun 04/14 - 71.5kg 🚶♀️8k🍷 didn't log cals
I have a car! This is so exciting. It will negatively impact on my steps, but it also means I save 30mins each way to work, so I can start my morning runs again. And overall a new way of living 😊🚗
Yesterday wasn't too bad foodwise, a few road trip snacks (easter eggs) and ice cream after dinner. I estimated very generously, so cals might well have been lower.
Today, went for brunch, but very civilised, then Ikea before I dropped off my SIL at the airport. I didn't eat much, but had a few more Easter eggs - to finish them before the new week.
Mon 04/15 71.0kg 🚶♀️10k 🏃♀️2k 🧘🍷 1422 cals in, 447 fitbit adjust, 315 deficit
What a nice surprise this morning! Day was good food-wise, went for a brief lunch time walk and a 2k run - I really need to do some work to get back into running...

GW for this round: Under 80kg.

My weight has been all over the place this last week with my period. After having plataued on 80.6kg for 4 days prior to this, it shot up to 81.6kg over the past couple of days. Really want to focus hard these 10 days on a strong weight loss as my June trip is coming close and I've worked hard to get as close to my end goal weight as I can for it!
Day/Weight/Comment
04/13: 81.5kg.
04/14: 80.5kg. Yesterday was eating well, gardening and doing 15000 steps. I am feeling it today! Wondering if THIS is the bounce back to my pre-period rate or if my weight will move up again tommorrow.
04/15: 80.7kg. Not as much as a bounce up as could have been. Lots of gardening and walking. Now, back into the work week!
04/16: 80.3kg. Glad to be moving down but really getting tired of being stuck in the 80 point dots. Managed to do my 10000 steps even with a sudden double shift.

Back again. This round is going to be a tough one for me and I would love to just maintain and stay in the 140's. We will be leaving on Sunday morning for Phoenix and won't be home till Thursday. There are 2 weekends in this round and one of them is Easter( which I am of course hosting) and we will have a funeral to attend to out of town also. So I would say roughly 7 out of the next 10 days we will be eating mostly restaurant or fast food, sleeping in hotels, and having very little consistency at all. I will only be at work 2 days out of the next 10, which is never good. I stay on track with my eating and water so much better when I am at work, but this is life and I have to be able to manage it I guess, so all I can do is hope for the best.
Ended Rn 73: 148.8 10 day average 149.51
04/13 - 149.4 up a bit as I expected from the alcohol and snacking the night before and I did not make great food choices yesterday either. I wanted comfort food most of the day. I am spending all of today getting ready to leave for Phoenix with the hubby tomorrow and get the 2 youngest kids set up at my moms for the week. So lots of errands, grocery shopping, cleaning, and packing today. I am definitely taking my scale this time though. Last time I left I gained 12 pounds when I got back home, lol. So I think I need the accountability of still having to weigh everyday.
04/14 - 150.3 up a bit more today. Not enough water and bad food choices. Super busy day all day yesterday. Leaving for Phoenix in a couple hours and I am so ready for a break. It’s been a rough week.
04/15- dnw - after all my planning I forgot my darn scale at home. We have a pool at the place we are staying at so went swimming and laid out by the pool. Hopefully I can stay on track for the next couple of days.

REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
