    Okay - especially if you're watching your weight or have dietary requirements. They should be understanding, and if they are not, you probably are better off not going.

    Not getting your spouse or significant other a gift for an occasion, when they had told you they didn't want a gift.

    And I also want to answer to the cash bar at a wedding- NOT ok. People attending your wedding are guests. They've bought you a nice gift, maybe traveled to be there, even got a hotel room perhaps. If you can't afford to serve alcohol to your guests don't serve it, but a cash bar is so tacky.

    Ok, now that I've got that out of my system... asking your friend who is driving to turn the air conditioner on or off
