    Mornin' BBB.

Never have understood why fireworks must be shot off the whole week before and after the Fourth. My dogs are OK with it, but so many of my clients' dogs have issues. Scripting out tranquilizers like candy.

I have never been a fan of the non professional firework. Too dangerous (personal injury and fires). Go see a real show.

Better yet, join the military and during infantry training crawl under razor wire in the mud whilst machine guns are firing live ammo with tracers over head at night. That was fun, but definitely made you appreciate those who did it for real.

Once observed mortar training and ground to air missiles. Love watching videos of the classic battleships firing their big guns.

Hope folks can reflect on why we celebrate today. Freedom from tyranny.

Sorry you are working today, Kelly. Hope you are still going to get a little time to celebrate our independence.

Skip, sorry to hear that you may need another surgery on the elbow. You are gonna have to switch beer drinking hands for a while, no?

    BBB OP ;-)

    Good morning
    Happy 4th!!

Very frustrating here. Dogs still have giardia according to receptionist. Vet was supposed to call me yesterday and didn’t. I called around 1. They were already closed. I left a message no one called back. Looks like I’ll have to wait until Friday now. I already spent almost $300 and they still have it? Floors bleached mopped. Food bowls and water bowls bleached out. Sooooo frustrating.

Anyway I’m Up early. Lots to do before work.

Again, celebrating our independence today. Woot.

    Morning

Meet elbow expert on 11th. We will see.

Mr Cooper is ghastly fearful of 💥 🧨. We keep tv up really loud to help.

Me dad arrives today. We will Uber to VFW for a spell. Then likely relax here at house.

Hope all have a great Fourth.

Steph - when are PR bound?

Kelly, giardia can be very difficult to clear. Sometimes it takes 2-3 weeks of metronidazole therapy plus 5-6 days of panacur in combination to clear the bug. Some dogs take months to clear.

Yep, They've had it before. I really feel like EVERY time they go to daycare they have it!

Elbow looks painful. Reminds me of the joke, "It hurts when I move it that way!" Then, don't move it that way" HA

Our dogs don't mind the fireworks.

Doc asked, “ what repetitive motions do you do?”

I quickly laughed and said “what is drink beer, for $200 doc”

It’s painful. They couldn’t do a shot until I see surgeon. Ugh.

I bet it hurts. But the surgeon needs to see it without the influence of anti-inflammatories. You could ask for some non anti-inflammatory pain relief. A lidocaine patch, perhaps?

    Happy Independence Day BBB.
    • Skip, can you drink beer through a straw?
    • Emma used to be very afraid of fireworks. Now that she is deaf, not so much.
    • I hope you find time for a hot dog and cold beer today Kelly.
    • Let the grillin' begin.

    Good morning BBB crew.

Yeah, Lee, the "fireworks" in the military was lots of fun. Manning an OP above the impact area and calling in a battalion fire-for-effect with WP at dusk was a favorite. Or throwing two cases of hand grenades after running a training range, because we didn't want to do the paperwork of turning in the excess. Ah the memories.

Watching the local parade this morning, then grilling hot dogs and burgers.

Had another great hike, yesterday, up to a little lake in the mountains. Here's your scenic shot, Skip. Hope it helps you forget your elbow, for a moment.

    Happy 4th,
It is common for us to see DMIL walking around with straw in beer can, would be mixed drink but I quit buying liquor.
I remember those training days but not as fondly as Dave and Lee!
Way too hot and humid last night to go sit out for concert and fireworks
Love seeing snow still in mountains Dave, we are expecting 100 actual with feels like 111
Sorry to hear you are facing another surgery Skip, can I send DMIL up there to care for you she'll hold beer with straw for you though if you blink beer may be gone.
Grass edged and cut, got to run higher strings for beans then cleanup and get to brothers little over hour away.
    Enjoy the Day,

Lee the Tommy John's surgery diagrams. I have two ribs lassoed together with what I think of as fishing line that the surgeon did. They removed the wrong rib making room for my titanium bolts and cage for a spinal fusion and discovered I had another rib ripped away from my spine. Soooo they tied it to the rib next to it. Hurt a lot for several years. No tendon in that fixed but more like heavy fishing line. YUP I too am not found of amateur fireworks and had burn marks on my old cedar shake shingles from sparklers thrown around.
Skip: love your quip to the doc.
Oooof Sam "beer thru a straw" uh not here not now.
    Stay safe and sane all!!

    Hooray for the new engagement.

We did a 50 mile ride at a town about an hou le de home. They have a big celebration but we just did the rise and then stopped to see a former coworker that was selling jewelry at the craft fair.

Now on the way to Dad's with the rest of our stuff. We plan to organized everything leaving behind some things might want someday and packing the suitcases we are taking.

We leave on Sept 10. I will give notice august 20 or so.
